Barclays £100 loophole payments starting to come through

Does anyone know the qualifying period for the Barclays Bank promotion?

ie if you opened your account in Oct 05 pay in $1,000 in Nov and agen in December does this qualify or was it something run in early 2006?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Barclays are being exceptionally vague on this promotion now!!

I got my £100 few days ago, and emptied the account for the most part.

Crappy interest and the typical obvious horrendous banking charges aside, there any reason why I shouldn't keep this account?

I do enjoy the idea of having a spare current account with no money in it as I can give the details to ppl who need to give me money without any real risk?

Or is that wishful thinking?

Opened the account 27jan - got the £100 today. They did need chasing as they lost all info prior to 1st March so thought I wasn't elegable. If I hadn't pestered and raised a complaint I wouldn't have got it - finally got someone who speaks and understands english on the third call. As an online current account it is very poor in all ways compared to the likes of A&L! It can go now.

Received mine today (acc opened 18th Jan) after I too phoned and raised a complaint, no idea what it cost me in phone calls though as I was passed to several different numbers.

Does anyone have the T&C?
I opened my account on the day the MoneyTips came out,
but did not pay my first £1000 in until about 13th March, and second £1000 will go in tomorrow or monday.
Whats the score - i have seen a few mentions of 28 days,
is that how long they take to pay out the £100, or how long you have to pay in your first £1000?

Applied evening of the 18th.

A/c offically opened 8th Feb.

Didn't satisfy the 2 months of £1000 funding critera until Fri 31/Mar/2006.

Expected to wait until at least 28 April for £100.

£100 turned up in my a/c on the 4th April (2 business days after I had fulfilled the criteria)

Barclays are obviously trying to limit the financial damage to the 2005-2006 marketing budget. (you know what's firghtening? the fools that appear in the current Barclays' adverts are all too REAL).

I would go for A&L if not for the £500/month and apprant 12month min. contract with them, although I'm guessing that.

The T&C are printed out a few times on the original loophole topic, a few posts in on the first page is the first posting of them

It actually worked! Just checked my statement online and the £100 was credited last week. Now all I have to do is close the account.
