Barclays £100 loophole payments starting to come through

            Hi
Barclays sent me a letter to acknowledge my application. They then claimed I had applied after the deadline. I offered to professionally down load my PC and prove when I applied. I said however that I would be prepared to accept the £100.00 but refused to open an account. Barclays had also requested a photo copy of my I D which I took into the Wood St office in Wakefield, but even after this they then claimed to have no record of my application. After a lot of arguing, they sent me a cheque for £100.00. I did not have to open an account and would never bother to do so after this fiasco!0

"Oh the first payment doesn't count, that was in the month the account was opened. Make one more poayment and see if the £100 appears next month!"
Is this a game of chance - why can they not check facts and be certain?
I hope this is incorrect, otherwise Im in the same boat. What do people understand by this? My 28 days is up next week, and i will certainly be calling up after that if my £100 doesnt appear by then.0

Absolutely no problems at all. The £100 appeared in my account a few days earlier than the expected 28 days.
Thanks to Martin & co for informing us of this one. Today I've bought an ipod shuffle for effectively £7, so thanks to mse.com once again!0

Dumped my second £1000 in this week. I forget my password after paying in the first amount, so had to wait for a new passcode through the post. Doh!
I printed out the offer pages from the Barclays website just-in-case they try to be sneaky. That's date stamped 18/01/06.0

            Hi,
Just checked online & my £100 got credited today... thanks go to Martin
Not a totally painless exercise, should have had it on the 28th March, and even Barclays CC agreed with me, but they couldn't do anything as "another team" were dealing with it. Still now I have a complaint logged that they have to respond to.
Same as others I also applied for the 10mths 0% balance transfer on the strength of the account, my first ever stooze!!!
Thanks all round methinks , now to chase the OH's £100 , now to chase the OH's £100
 Yipee!!!!

:j For those of you worried about eligibility......I wan't 100% convinced that this would work, but received my £100 despite never having had any confirmation that I qualified for the £100.
I have now moved it to safety, out of Barclays and will close the account soon.
Thank you so much for the advice....it's great for once to get something for (virtually) nothing from a corporate giant!!!

Good to see most appear to be getting their £100's, but I've had to open a complaint with them as not yet received.
I firstly emailed them and they responded with the terms of the offer and advised I should wait a while, so I will use this as proof that they accepted me as eligible. Secondly I phoned them as I also realised that I never received my payslips back that I had to send them!
So, they seem to be somewhat incompetent and erratic with their admin and when they pay.
I opened the account with a £1001 transfer, which shows as being received 3 days after account opening and then transferred another £1001 the following month. I kindof expect them to say that the first did not count as this was to open the account, but I'll stand my ground if this is the case!0
