From the conversation i had with Barclays customer services the other week, it goes like this: You have an account opening date. Make sure you pay in £1000+ in the month following that, then the same in the month after. You will get your £100 28 days after the second month ends.
In my case, account opened 2/2/06, 2x £1000 paid in on 10th of Feb and March, then my £100 should arrive on 30th of April.
A large stink will ensue if it doesn't!Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery0 -

I paid my money in on Feb 13th and March 13th approximately. After a friend who also applied for the account after me got the £100 first, I phoned Barclays. This chasing up paid dividends as I now 24 hours later have the money. It was due apparenly on April 12th, so nice to get it early. I do think my phone call helped though.

Thanks to Martin from me too :j0 -
Got my £100.00 with no hassle. I think this is the easiest £100.00 I ever made so a big thanks to Martin for this hot tip. :j0

My DH and I applied at the same time - he got his £100 yesterday, I'm still waiting in anticipation . . . .

Thanks everyone!0 -
Yes, all worked to plan. £100 plus 04p interest!
Many thanks0 -
I took up the offer and hope to get my £100 shortly. I haven't experienced the poor customer service yet but one thing this has shown me. I haven't been in a bank for at least 10 years and most likely much more, but I went in to pay in the £1000 and how archaic it seemed. Like something out of the middle ages, I shall stick to my telephone and internet in future for my banking.0

I applied before the closing date and was told that I would have to go into a Barclays Branch to show ID. I went in and queued up, only to be told when I eventually reached the desk, that I had to go to a different queue. When I eventually got to the assistant, he said that I was too late. I showed him the letter I had received which was dated after the 19th, but he said I was still ineligible. I just gave up, but I have been telling everyone I know not to touch Barclays Bank.0

Opened my account at the end of February and £100 already credited, I had already made a note to chase the bonus but for once I didn't need to! That's a great offer and an easy £100.0
