I was shocked when he showed me!!
If you think about it the more you drink the more your body is tolerant to it so it won't effect sleep etc as much, you then need / want more for it to have some effect but then your body becomes tolerant to that amount so you then need more and on you go.
I never realised how much coke i drunk until i sat down and actually thought about it, even when people asked me how could i sleep at night i didn't realise the amount i drunk. The best things in life are for FREE!!!If you like what you see and find this info useful, please use the thanks button. MissG wrote:The addiction is the caffeine just the same as tea or coffee. I never thought when I submitted my reply that so many people have been or are addicted to coke.
I always remember a man who seen me drinking coke say, "You shouldn't drink coke as it rots your insides" at the same time he lifted his t-shirt up and he had a massive scar from an operation he had to have through drinking JUST coke.
Serious. My sister is a bit mad with money, and she goes for regular colonic irrigation at 60 quid a go. At her first one, her therapist ( or whatever they are called) showed her this pure black goo, and she said, without prompting, dont suppose you drink a lot of diet coke do you? My sis goes "how did you know that" she said, "thats what this black tar likke goo is, I see a lot of it, in people that drink a lot of diet coke". Wondered whether to post this earlier or is it too much info? Sod it, we all need to know what we are putting in our bodies, apparently this goo is all the stuff in it your body cant process and sits in your colon. Hasnt put her off though, for me it just makes me even more chuffed Ive given it up :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
The hardest thing for me to give up to become debt free was my social life
I used to live in the town centre, and would be out at all the clubs all the time meeting all my friends and dancing and doing other stuff. But in order to become DF, I decided to share a house (halve all my bills in the process) in the middle of the sticks with my best friend. Because of this, I hardly see anyone much but we do keep in contact online and stuff.
It's just very hard to go from 30 hours of dancing a week to about 5
However, when I'm DF I'll be able to see everyone a lot more and carry on with my 10 hour dancefloor stints with no debt burden at allThat thought's the only thing that keeps me sane these days.

It's shocking to think what it does to you. Sorry if it's a bit too much info but if I was ill and was sick when I drank coke it would be black
What's quite shocking is to think how many young growing children drink coke, it's available to anybody who is old enough to reach up and get it out the fridge and buy it or even just ask for it.
We should start a coke awareness campaign on mseThe best things in life are for FREE!!!If you like what you see and find this info useful, please use the thanks button. It costs nothing and means so much.0 -
I miss KFC and McDonalds. Got a confession. bought loads of fresh foods which were suitable for casseroles and meals made from scratch etc etc. I'm sure it will save a fortune in the long run!! Anyway...when i got home i was so tired (after rooting around for the best bargains) that i couldn't be bothered cooking so i went to KFC and had a Fillet Tower Meal. It was heaven. I won't miss coke though after reading the other posts.

It was good!! I've locked my front door and given my OH my car keys so I can't go out and get another one. Come to think of it...a lot of my debts over the last 10 years are probably on takeaways and restaurants. Shocking!! Luckily I'm a size 10 so only you guys would ever guess this terrible sin.
