Buying what I wanted in the supermarket, having takeaways a couple of times a month, cappucinos - lots of them! Buying stuff for the kids and holidays - don't get me started...............
I miss it all, I miss it all!!!!
I'm so shallowDebtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
I'm missing takeaways, although I have come up with a cunning plan! Last night for example I was desperate for a chinese curry, love chinese veggie curry!! And I had some veggies in and some rice so I bought a tub of sauce for £1 and mixed it with the cooked veg and plonked it on top of rice and hey voila!! Just like chinese curry!!! :j
I'm missing going to gigs tooAm going to see Graham Coxon next Tuesday though :j :j bought ticket pre lightbulb moment on la credit card!! But after that no gigs for a while
I miss loads of stuff!!!! Lovely expensive red vino, going out for dinner at my fave restaurants, M&S posh food!! The list goes on!!! I never used to cook pre lightbulb moment, well not really!!! But I'm really getting into it now. Quite enjoy it now!!
I miss shopping, stopped going in my fave shop as it's just to tempting! And as they know me they kept saying "have you seen this" "have you seen that"
Aaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!! But I'm ok, I'll be debt free soon!!! And then, and only then will I treat myself to these things occasionally, I've turned into a tight b@stard since joining MSE!!!!Official DFW Nerd no. 082! :cool:Debt @ 01/01/2014 £16,956 Debt now: £0.00 :j

been on a similar thread from Paintygirl (Oh, The Pain) who has just sold her beloved apple mac... I miss cd's, take aways, cinema, our local comedy club...the list goes on, which is why I am in debt I guess
Still, when I am out of all this those extras will actually be appreciated rather than hardly noticed0 -
New books. I used to haunt Amazon and pre-order books from my favourite authors. I know I could use the library but getting new books is like ordering gold dust.
I've been buying off ebay instead and the previously owned at Amazon so thanks if I've bought anyone's offerings off this site. :j0 -

I really miss being spontaneous - being able to drop everything and sod off for the weekend or to a gig last minute, or to the theatre
I still get to do all those things but I have to plan for them now and make sacrafices so I can have them, I'm so much better off this way, but I definitely miss living in the now!!Student moneysaving club - member no. 6Uni Reading0 -
Devils_nose,
Being an MSE doesnt mean you cant be spontaneous, just cheaper.
Or be spontaneous and go to cheap or free places in this country. Guess it means being more creative though.0 -
moozie why not "pay" yourself to do the ironing? That way, even though you'd still hate it, you could view it as a bit on the side job that earns you £25 a month.weaving through the chaos...0
