Oh my goodness, you all need help  Please think about this carefully, we are talking about IRONING!
:rotfl:

I love ironing.
But then again, I also love smoking although I've cut back lately.
Clearly clinically insane then! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Good luck ozzyfan!
Its awful to admit but I don't iron....like.... ever! I don't even know if our house has an iron (shared house with rubbish landlord so I'm guessing no!). No one has ever commented on the way I look, being polite maybe!I just hang things up really carefully to dry and fold them v carefully and all is well! To be fair I don't have blouses/suits or anything of that type for work or whatever, might be different if I did. I can always tell which items of clothing I haven't worn in a while because they're still ironed from the last time I was at my parent's house :rotfl: . They have a woman who does their ironing btw, before you think I'm a 22 year old who gets her parents to iron for her
Actually, was talking to mum the other day about moving back in when my degree is finished (june) and she said maybe I could pay a reduced amount of 'rent' if I did household stuff (whilst I've not got a job or anything better to do that is!), stuff like ironing, hoovering, tidying, dusting etc. So better get practising :rotfl: :eek:Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003Proud to have become debt free... and striving to keep it that way

Hardest thing to change so far is OH's attitude to money, though it's getting there
Hardest thing to give up is the dreaded fags..still trying!!0 -
I can honestly say I've not found anything difficult to give up. :rotfl:
I resent everything that costs me money (hence me walking round with holes in my socks) so I don't feel at all hard done by!
However, I haven't given up my fishing and I definately won't/can't! :rotfl:
But I'm doing it as cheaply as possible!0 -
Hardest thing for me to give up was impulse buying clothes. Walking past a shop and seeing a lovely top on *special* and thinking wow, that would look great with so and so.
I now look the other way but I do miss that *rush* of feeling if that makes sense. I try and get excited with use by date stuff that's marked down but it's not quite the same.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
The hardest things for me to give up were smoking and I did that with no help, nothing (went cold turkey) and it has been 3 years now. I also gave up coke, as in coca cola (cold turkey). I gave up smoking at a hard and very low time in my life when I was very depressed and I gave up coke about 6 months later. I don't now how I did it but I did it, I had no reason to give up I just wanted to give up. Smoking did disgust me towards the end and I did go away on holiday which smoking when away I found so horrible as the heat makes it taste so different and so horrible, I suppose that did help me in a way. I can't remember withdrawal with smoking as much but I can with the coke, you would have thought it would be the other way round.
I had no reason like debt or anything to give these up so sorry if I got it wrong

Every now and then I miss the habit of lighting up etc but I would never go back on them. I would not say I MISS them at all but just the actions if you know what I mean

Strangely enough I miss Petrol!!! I used to go on loads of lil road trips with the bf... now I can't even afford the round 90 mile drive to see him. I've cut back on Takeaways really well (used to have them Saturday AND Sunday!!).. so now I'm eatting healthlier, and excercising more.. I've switched from normal Cola to Diet... so now I just need to give up that!!! I don't smoke or drink (hence I felt the need to waste money on another stuff as a reward!) .. I keep saying to the bf.. this time next year I'll be skinny and loaded!! lolOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092
