Moozie....hang trousers from their ankles on clip hangers to help reduce ironing! And when drying clothes on the washing line, hang trousers again by ankles and tops from their "hem" (not collar). I find this really helps...I barely iron anything these days.
People point & laugh but I don't do any ironing.... :rotfl:
I miss gigs, weekends abroad & buying clothes. I also miss going out for drinks & pizza with friends. I also miss my new car which I haven't been able to buy yet
Hey ho, my own doing, I'll just have to get a wriggle on in sorting things out won't I?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Never been one for buying lots of new clothes I get just as much pleasure from buying in charity shops and very rarely go out or buy takeaways, I do miss my FAGS especially after dinner, I also missed going to the crosstitch fair at Olympia this year not 'cos I need anything but just because I knew I'd want to buy something, only other craft addicts will understand the obsession. Still maybe once I've been smoke free for a few months I can treat myself.

I miss all of the above (apart from the fags - never smoked)!
*Hair cuts - I let my boyfriends sister do my hair now as she is training to be a hairdresser... its worth the risk! :T
*beauty treatments - my dear old dad bought me a home facial thing for xmas so i've dug that out and bought a pair of tweezers for the fuzzy brows!
*takeaways - i suggest it when i'm at my better off friends house's in return for doing the tidying up
*holidays - think in total i'm paying off 4 holidays from the last few years spending ! (including 1 v. expensive trip to New York!)
* supermarket buying - i used to love m&s choc puddings!0 -
I'm pretty good on the clothes and shoes. Socialising cut-backs came naturally when littlen came along...easier for people to come round.
What I'm finding hard is spending less on family/close friends birthday presents and the ones where I normally give money. I need to shop around more than I do or get creative.
Also the day trips with my littlen - a day in London could set me back £70 for train, some attractions, lunch and a treat in Hamleys. We did 3 of those last year, including the theatre and an open bus tour. I'm finding ways to still do things though - we can get a return to Brighton for £1 on the train and go to the beach with a picnic. It's about finding cheaper alternatives (which is what I'm not good at!)Back on the DFW Wagon:

Moozie...
I too hate ironing but I invested in one of those steam generator irons, not cheap but they do works wonders cutting down the time it takes by half, and as I am in the soft furnishings business my iron is always on :eek:Official DFW Nerd - Member no. 045
