Sary I can relate to what you've been saying about your friend. It's a very difficult situation. It's pretty obvious she's tried almost everything to 'eat less' and failed. Has she tried forgetting about 'diets' and becoming more active instead?

If she's gained a stone in 7 months, she's putting on about half a pound a week. An extra hour's walk 3 times a week should be enough to at least stop the upward trend?

Well, I was sent to my weigh in town to work today, so thought I might as well weigh in a day early, and I am astounded to report a 3lb loss :eek::eek:
Seems after my few weeks of not moving, it's started to move in the right direction again :j:j:j So shocked as it's been a really bad week here foodwise. But hey ho, aint gonna complain :D

Edit: OMG just realised that's me hit another milestone - 4 Stones lost :D:D:D:D
    4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j

Yes, where are you going Granny, somewhere nice no doubt?
Hiking/camping expedition sounds fun Missy! We're hoping to go to the Hebrides next summer...

I like camping and hiking :D

The dog and I did an 8 mile hike this morning, we were placing a trail of geo caches - now the exciting bit is waiting for the 'First To Find's' logging the finds on the website.

Hoping to do another 8 miler tomorrow.

    FFM :)

For me its a 1/2lb loss slow but steady at the moment but it kind of indicates my general lack of effort at the moment. Hate to say it but a friend that I go out for a meal with every week has got work in France so I'm hoping a few weeks without restaurant food and wine will help.

:j Vixstar! Nothing wrong at all with slow and steady. Half a pound a week makes 26lb a year .

Have just realised that my average weight loss over the past 2 years is exactly that! :rotfl:Sadly I didn't do it at half a pound a week - I put on most of what I lost and then had to lose it again. Now that was stupid :o

Vixarooni -- good luck with the job applications. If personality counts for anythingyou should walk into any job you go for.

Victory -- a fridge full of prawns and salmon, money in your pocket and some not TOO hot sunshine, and a good day with mum. GREAT!! Enjoy your day.
