  • hey guys thanks for all the comments

yeah i am a very all or nothing person.

i like going to the gym with my other half, and i do enjoy the cario days, doing the exercise feels like ive accomplished "something"

but yeah i do drag myself there sometimes too, so i can look better

didnt do weights last night, went food shopping instead so i went to gym monday, going tonight and will do weights tomorrow night and give it a miss on Friday.

well altered my food a little today (but still not by enough i dont thnk)

shredded wheat with sultanas (love it) 350 calories estimated (big portion lol)

    2 cups of tea

lunch 3 slives of wholemeal bread (toasted) with turkey slices and light mayo.

got a bananna for afternoon and ill be having cous cous and turkey with veg for dinner.

so its def going in the right direction, albeit not there yet.

    Welcome back Kenny.

Beanie I hope the back gets better soon - backs are a huge problem when they go wrong.

Oh Beanie, is there anything you can do to relieve it? or is it just a matter of waiting? Ouch ouch ouch. :grouphug:, but very gently indeed.

Hello Victory! Hope you're enjoying the break.

    Evening all,

Beanie - I don't know if it's anything like I've had before, but when my back has gone into spasm it takes my breath away, and I can't walk. The worst time it lasted several weeks, other times it's just been a few days. I hope you feel better soon.

Reporting a 2lb gain for me this week. I don't think I've significantly over-indulged, actually, I'd not say I've indulged really, but I have probably been having some larger portions on occasion, and the carb intake/bread was definitely higher, so that's the immediate task for me to address. My first real gain since January, so I don't think I can complain, so I'm not too stressed about it, and realise it could just be a natural body fluctuation.

I didn't get my bike ride in today. The forecast was too bad for me to expect my LO to cycle home, so it was in the car today. I did spend the whole morning gardening, mowing the lawn, weeding, etc., so that's kept me busy. I have to say that my inner thighs are aching like nobody's business, which is clearly the knock on effect of yesterday's workout. I'd try to repeat it at home, but I think I need about a 30ft square room to do so. I'm hoping the weather will be drier tomorrow so that I can get out on my bike.

I have to say that going into the gym yesterday did make me keen to go again. I really enjoyed the competitive side of it, and I was getting rather good at the weight lifting (I discovered I may be small, but I'm action packed)! I will have to look at our finances over the year to see if I can afford to join again.

    Food today has been:

B - honeynut shreddies with 1% fat milk
    snack - 10 cashew nuts
L - packet of snack a jacks & promax protein bar
    D - wholewheat pasta with h/m bolognese

Well done to the losers & STS's, and to the rest of us, day 1 tomorrow guys!:rotfl:

Beanie - the only back spasms I have had were agony and left me gasping. I so hope you can get help with this and soon. What a rotten time you are having at the mo:(

sts for me this week. Not keeping on top of food consupmtion as I need to but distracted by other projects - can't always multi task:D

Looking for ward to the ride FFM? We had the naked bike ride here last sunday - now that was something worth turning out for :D
Has your cousin done it before beanie? I did it in 1988... or was it 1987... disappearing in the mists of time.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
