lo all! I stayed good, stayed away from the booze and the takeaways and thoroughly enjoyed my kfc reward. Beanie i too won't wear shorts - I just think to myself I wouldn't want to look at that so why should i inflict it on others. I'm afraid I tend to just swelter in jeans most of the time, or I buy a couple of hippyish cheap long floaty skirts. not much help i know, sorry.
yay granny!!0 -
Thanks for all the congratulations --- now what do I do? Buy expensive (= more generously cut clothes to have a chance of being a 12 again) or go to Pr*m*rk and buy extra large? :rotfl::o:rotfl::o:rotfl:
Missy --- in awe as always! Looking forward to the 'restful' exercise in the holidays. Your rest and my intensely active would still be miles (literally) apart. :rotfl:
Beanie --- need more detail. How long are you away for? Roughly what will you be doing? Are you packing hand luggage or a car? I rather like packing and have a 'master list' that I check off as things go into the suitcase. ANd several sub lists depending on weather and circumstance and .....anal?
FFM --- have put your 'weight loss at start of month' to 0, so now your 'weight lost this month' shows as 2.2. Will that be OK? What scales do you have that are so acurate for fat and muscle? Mine are on the way out I think (they've been abused for several years!!) so I might invest in something whizzy likeyours.
BB --- I felt mentally re-lilacked by you. I do hope you're feeling better. Doing too much in the sultry weather we've had must have contributed to your being bleurghish. Hugs.0 -
Here is a laugh for you all...under our bed I found a plastic spiked thing that looked like you played with it in the behind area during night hours, like the ones you see in Anne summers and I do not own anything like that so was racing with questions, what is OH doing with it? Why is it under the bed?
Turns out it is the inlaws dog toy:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:looks multi functional :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Multifunctional ---- EEEEUUUUUUURRRRRGGGGHHHHH!0 -
VICTORY - so funny! I like Sary do not see my mother as a form of self preservation but all I will say is you need to do what is best for you. Will you feel better for going/will you be made to feel bad if you dont go/will you feel worse for going?
Food today will be cereal, a tuna sandwich/jacket potato and salmon with lots of roasted peppers and veg for dinner. I have a mango that needs using so I will either snack on it during the day or do it for us to eat after dinner. Will be doing a fair bit of walking today as I need to walk the dog to the pet shop to stock up on pigs ears etc (would be so much easier if I had my car back) plus her normal walks. Need to slot lots of uni work inbetween so it will be a busy day!
BEANIE - When i go on holiday regardless of the amount of clothes I take I tend to wear during the day - combat style black/brown shorts that finish just below my knee (like a cross between shorts and 3/4 lengths), 3/4 lengths if its a bit cooler, stretchy fashionable vest tops that could pass as evening if needed, 1 or 2 tops that are short sleeved but cover shoulders etc in case of burning. Not a great deal but we always have a washing machine and I tend to wear favourites over and over. Evening - a few dresses, a black shrug for evening coverage or if it gets cold, a light coloured shrug for the same reason, a couple of skirts that end just below the knee (its a nice length), linen trousers, tops that match the skirts and trousers, a couple of nicer/embroidered/sparkly whatever white tops that go with everything. Then anything nice I see in the shops like a floaty holiday top that will look pretty but also go with linen trousers for a smarter look. I pack sporty comfortable "walkin" beach flip flops, leather black ones for anytime and a nicer pair (this year bronze/gold colour) for the evening that can pass with the nicer dresses etc. For me daytime has to be practical (no chafing in dresses!) but nice enough tops etc that i think i look nice and evening is a capsule changeable wardrobe that is mainly casual evening wear but has a few outfits (for me dresses) that can be dressed up with a shrug, nice flip flops and jewellery for a nicer restaurant etc. I dont want to wear heels when its hot so its flip flops all the way. Oh and for the record I'm not a dress/skirt person at home but I like it on holiday. Hope that helps a bit, thats what my huge suitcases of unworn clothes over the years has wittled down to and it works for me.0
