You absolutely will, it is within your grasp and you will, you can and you will;)0 -
Well done on day 2 Floozie :T:T:T--- remember you've given yourself a year so you don't need go too far under your calories, especially if you build in a bit of extra exercise , as you are doing. Leave yourself a bit of slack for treats or you may lose your enthusiasm sooner.
( I sound as if I know what I'm talking about --- that's a joke becaue I so don't! It's taken me nearly two years so far ... another two years to go probably.:o:o)
Did anyone mention that you should postyour weight loss in bold bright large font so that it can be put on the chart every week? The chart is posted on Wednesday evening.0 -
Size 12 Granny!!! :T:T:T You must have felt great!
Sary you're dedicated enough that your size 12 can't be too far away either!!!
It's been a good week here, I'm in my last three weeks of 'peak' exercising now before the summer holidays, when I plan to have a rest.
Cal intake average 1852/day, net after exercise taken off 1222/day. These are lower than usual and it's because monthly weigh in is looming and I'd been hoping to lose a little bit, which hasn't happened (I'm expecting a STS or small gain on Tuesday when I weigh).
I'm doing a Tour de France challenge thing at the moment and I've cycled 114.5km this week in a mixture of on and off-road. I've done 31km running, a 6.5km continuous walk and a bit of Yoga. Almost 13 hours total
Good luck for the upcoming week everyone!0 -
if my mum was a human being with emotions like you and I she would have said she needs support, feels vulnerable and is having a hard time coping (I know I would especially considering her 83 years age) that would be out of her control comfort expressing emotions zone so we have to decide for her:rolleyes:
It really is a case of you reap what you sow:rolleyes:
Victory - I've got one of those too, of a similar age... the only difference is that I cut off all contact 16 years ago, and haven't regretted it once since. You can't choose your family, as the saying goes, and that is just SO true sometimes. I was listening to a good friend yesterday tell me about how her mother lies to her, tells her she's going one place, but is really visiting her brother. Now, she doesn't have a problem with her mother seeing her brother, but doesn't understand the point of her lying about it. Clearly the mother feels she is doing something wrong, hence the lying. It's so silly how families can become so fragmented and damaged. In my own circumstance, I'd have a tricky upbringing, and my mother was a person who would have been far better off not having any children, to be honest. I can only admire how you persevere maintaining your relationship, in the best way you can.
Roast dinner for tea, which was scrum-diddly-dumptious. The children have all now vowed never to leave home, so I probably won't be making another one for a while.;)One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -

Reporting 1.0lb loss this week which brings me back to my original maintaining weight.
I had a good week for eating, but exercise was down. Although I exercised 6 out of the 7 days, some days this was only a 1 mile stroll around the park at lunchtime, no cycling - even the horseriding was cancelled due to the thunderstorms
According to my scales the 1.0lb loss was made up of 0.6lb fat gain and 1.6lb muscle loss
I think this confirms that I need to increase my maintaining weight, so could you please put me as 2.0lb under my maintaining weight as I need to increase my overall weight to compensate for the additional muscle I need to exercise. IFSWIM.

bit of a rubbish day at the mo - stiff as a board and aching like billy oh, but couldn't simply couldn't read and run with saying
to granny. What an achievement... was there some nonsence about you want ing me to re lilac you this week?:D
Sorry continuing not to be about much - the ebb and flo of my days are a bit differnt at the mo. I am keeping up with you all but no extra energy to write a lot. I'm either flat out implimenting lots of changes to the way we live on a practical front (it's a bit like moving house here but staying in the same building) or generally 'getting things done' or joints going mental beacuase I'm probably doing a bit too much and I'm too wiped to write.
Hopefully normal service will resume in due course.
PS well done FFM - sounds a good decision well made... an achievement in itself.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
