Intergalactic Floozie - Yes you can do that in a year. I lost my first couple of stones due to stress, but it also gave me the kick up the rear that i needed to get started, so I've lost my weight over about 4-5 months, What I've lost so far is around the same as you want to in a year. Although I wouldn't recommend the stress part :rotfl:
Walking is great exercise for the legs, 4th compliment on my legs this week (5th if u count the dog who tripped me up :rotfl:) Although not sure if they were compliments or not.. went something like this..
1. Customer: You got great legs for a woman of your age!!!
Me: Are u calling me an old fart??
Customer: Ehh, errr, emmm
Me walking away laughin at him :rotfl:
2. Customer: You got better legs than the other postie!!
not really a compliment as the other postie has legs like a rugby player :rotfl:
3. WoW a Postie with sexy legs!!
One true compliment, couldn't answer that, so just gave him a killer wink
4: The little dog who took a fancy to my leg and tripped me up
5. Customer: Great pair of pins on ya lass!
Pity he was about 90
So get walking, improve your pins!
Now need to change jobs so i can work on the belly :rotfl:
LOL - I am glad that you put in there that you were a posty. I missed it on the first read and wondered what on earth you did that entailed so many people looking at your legs :rotfl:. Well done on so many compliments - it is nice, isn't it? (i think I remember compliments)Start Date: 27/11/2010

Day 1. Well I had an okayish day today and didn't feel like I had massive urges to go hunting for sugar. It also helped that I had plenty to do today which has got me out of the house.
WLR tells me that I should be eating 1870 cals per day to maintain weight so I am just going to try and eat below that and not be too obsessed.
B - 3 x eggs, 3 x Matteson's Turkey Rashers, brown sauce.
L - 3 x slices of golden syrup and peanut butter
D - Sweet chilli chicken fillets, salad leaves, cheese, reduced calorie
mayonnaise
S - grapes, red delicious apple.
Total calories: 1498.
I could have probably eaten less, but thought I would try and fill up at meal times as much as possible and I might not need to snack as much (it worked)
Pedometer steps; 3701, which was a shocker to me as I walked to football, and back (12m each way) plus I did a lot of pottering about the house this morning so I thought it would be more than that!

Hi all,
Dont think I have posted for the past few days as have been busy, havent eaten particularly well (nor terribly though) and not had anything really to contribute etc. Have a sore head today as ended up going to the pub for 8 hours of solid drinking yesterday and then got woken up early so havent properly slept it off. Didnt eat anything yesterday before I went out so was starving and had a creamy take away curry when we got home which was divine but not at all healthy. I expected to see a gain when I hopped on the scales (2lb that I hope to see gone by wednesday) but it was the change in body fat % that shocked me. The body does not like alcohol and curry! I feel bloated and bleugh, but had a very good time where I got along not only with the usual people but someone who despite everyone saying he was a good guy REALLY got off on the wrong foot with me years ago and we have only ever been civil to each other since but found a common ground early in the day and were talking and joking from then on which was really good.
Food today will be cereal and then steak with either new pots and salad or roast potatoes and veg. If I want anything else then it will have to be nibbling on peppers or fruit and maybe an ice lolly as I need to do some damage control! Need to do some uni work when i have woken/sobered up more. Have a good day all, oh and welcome newbies!0 -
Managed to keep the boredom at bay yesterday and had a nice little bonus as housemate bought me EA Active for Wii and just used it this morning and feel good and ready for the day ahead. Will let you know later how that goes
Hope you all having a good sunday so far.

Hello all,
I cycled to the garden party I went to yesterday. We got there at 2pm and left at gone 10.30pm! We all had a fab time, got a couple of rain showers, but I managed to stay dry, until we were cycling home. We arrived back home like drowned rats. We'd had fun tho.
The kids totally over indulged foodwise, but I didn't. I had a small piece of cheesecake, a bit of green salad & chicken, and a few crisps, but that was it. I drank a cup of orange squash, a water and a cup of tea. I think I talked so much I'll have used up all those calories.
Today I'm doing a roast dinner for tea for the first time in a long time. It's been too hot to go out in the kitchen for hours on end, but the kids were all nagging about when were we going to have one again. I do a mean roast, that's for sure. it's roast chicken, so rather a healthy one, and there will be lots of veg. I usually have 1 yorkshire, but no potatoes, so it's a good meal for me.
Last week before the kids break up from school, so I hope to get to see my friends this week while I can. Next weekend I am going off up to see my best friend in Liverpool, and we're having a girlie pampering time up there. I'm looking forward to it. I want to lose a couple of pound this week to feel a bit less bloated than I have. TOTM has well and truly gone, and I want to make amends, and be better prepared for the next one (which may well be the week we are on holiday )
Mazza, I love some of those comments about your legs.
Starspar I was using the Wii almost daily earlier in the year when the weather was cold, and it did help keep my energy levels up, and reduce the boredom and tendency to snack. Now I try to divert my attention by going off out into the garden to potter.
Victory, have you heard any more from Spain? Thoughts are with you.
Intergalactic - just keep logging your food, and as you go along, you'll find ways to replace/substitute/tweak what you have to suit your needs. For instance, I replace some of my meat with quorn to cut down the calories, but still try to get my protein. I have extra green veg and less potatoes, and fruit & natural yogurt in substitute of puddings.
Missy - I'm hoping that my loss will start to come off my boobs soon. It's come off my back, arms, legs, bum, belly, etc., in fact all over. I was a 36E, and am now a 34E, but would prefer to be a 34D. It just means I'm out of proportion for more fitted clothes, and look like I'm busting out all over! They do get in the way, and definitely distract some people!:oOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Have you decided what to do Victory? It's a really tricky decision to make about going over to help your mum or not. Warm thoughts wending their way to you.
Have bought a size 12 skirt today, which may not sound terribly excting but I have size 20 skirts in my wardrobe that usedto be ... mmmm.. snug. Admittedly it was a more expensive make than I would normally buy (in the sale) and so is probably cut more generously but I'm still tempted to have the label on the outside. :rotfl:0 -
Granny that's a wonderful achievement, well done. I for one recommend wearing the skirt inside out, accidentally on purpose. It makes you wonder why they don't have the sizes of size 12 and under embroidered on the outside of clothes really. I'd be such a show off if it were me. I've never been a size 12 in all my adult life. I'd like to think I do achieve it one day.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Day 2/365.
A day mostly stuck at home and I did have lots of boredom-eating pangs, but I combatted them with fruit and find myself under calories. Tomorrow's day time food diary has also been planned and plotted

L: Matteson's pork sausage, salad leaves, cheese, mayonnaise.Pork Loin Steak, apple sauce & roasted vegetables.

Total: 1336
Steps: 6655 today. I accompanied DS1 on his paper-round which took 26 minutes and 2500 steps. rest have come from grocery shopping and pottering about the house.Start Date: 27/11/2010
