    Hello all!

A bit late from me but I went for a jog/walk this morning after the school run, then my parents came for lunch so only just getting online now.
The jog/walk was better this morning (3rd outing) I downloaded a couch to 5k podcast which had me doing running for 1min then 90 seconds brisk walk over and over. Enjoyed it just want to keep up with it now although I don't know what I am going to do over the kids summer holidays  could take Thomas on his bike I guess  Hopefully adding this to my aerobics classes will make the lbs come off, (at least if I am out running I won't be raiding the fridge :p)
    todays food is/was
    B -ready brek
L - gammon, potato, carrots, cauli & brocoli
    T - gammon & noodles
as a treat I am having 3 hovis sweet biscuits & 1oz of cheese with cranberries :T.
Also mango & apple for supper

    Bye for now xxx

Well done on your weight loss and fingers crossed about the dance company!!!

I'm reading a library book about walking for fitness at the moment, and it says it's not really known why some people get stitches. Researchers suggest eating small amounts of food at a time rather than big meals, avoid food high in sugar & fat just before a workout, don't skimp on the warm-up, and if you do get a stitch then slow right down and try deep breathing while massaging the sore area, or bend fully forwards.

I don't really get stitches, but I find I definitely "know it" when I'm exercising too soon or too intensely after eating. Slowing down is usually the key for me, but I guess that's easier said than done when it's a dance class!

1Hannah, was that podcast on itunes, do you have a link? sounds like just what i need!

I forgot to say that when i get a stitch, my ears can block as well, how weird is that? im just a special case. well on weds when i got a stitch, i went to the toilet and cooled down and that meant i could finish the rest of the lesson. i hate going out in the middle tho but it saves face more than sitting down lol! it seems to be at these extra classes 2, my uni classes were a bit easier maybe :S

i did get into the evening dance company yay so will be having an extra dance session a week and more chances to perform come September.
was very bad foodwise today, made some banana muffins (well turned into cupcakes as they were only cases I had) last night to use up some overripe bananas.

    ended up with;
    B - one cupcake
L - one cupcake (husband was on phone finally doing his jobseekers claim which they decided may have to be joint as im on my hols from uni and work 4 hrs a week - is that right??)
T - oh my goodness - a mcdonalds!!! had a veggie deli meal - LRG with still fanta and an avalance ice cream from kfc as hubby had bargain bucket to himself.
altogether, (the mcd meal, still find it awkward cal counting real food i cook) makes 1386 cals, 49.2 g of fat !! but only 11.6 saturated and goodness knows how many carbs cus i dont want to count them :( thank goodness for nutritional info on website. got a strwaberry sundae as well but im eating no more tonight.

going to housesit next week with lots of junk food, so may not be able to post. my dance classes have finished but should be joining council gym when we get back.

thanks for reading if you got this far :)
I am a poor student wife now but don't think I can edit username? i study dance and love it though of course, it'll be a career that doesn't earn a lot of money!!

lost 5lbs so far - up to 11lb more to lose i think, will stop if it looks skeletal though dont think that could ever happen!
  • oo p.s. just saw ur in south wales 1hannah, thats where we live!! its nice isn't it? i study at uwic in cardiff, its the only dance degree in wales.

soon2be - we are in Swansea (moved here from Yorkshire 4yrs ago and still love it here)
I will try to do the link... hang on!
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=173959170

I hope that works. If not then all I did was typed in the itunes search, "podcasts for running" and selected the robert ullery one. Hope it helps. Not really my kind of music but I have decided to use it to get into the running and then once I'm comfty with the running I will get to listen to some of my cheesy pop! lol x
