Am reporting a 3.5lb loss this week which im overjoyed at! It means that half my holiday gain is gone, I doubt I will have such a loss next week but its got me off to a good start again which I'm happy with.

VICTORY - hope you and yours get better soon!

Now to get ready and take my car for its MOT as I got the date wrong and its actually today not yesterday! It seems fine but then it did last year as well when it cost me £200, so Im hoping for a pass this year! Have budgeted £80 for work if necessary so anything over that will require juggling about which I would rather not have to do. Have a good day everyone.

Hi guys I'd like to join please: I have been struggling with my weight throughout my teens & 20's and it can fluctuate from 14 stone to 16 stone. Being rather tall I can carry it off quite well but I just didnt feel happy with myself as I was the biggest I had ever been!!

So 2 weeks ago I decided enough was enough and so far have lost 5 lb! My inspriation is my holiday to the states in 6 weeks and beyond that its wearing a lovely dress for xmas!

I have been using the calorie counter website & logging my weight, daily eats in there which has been super helpful!! And am also hoping to find inspiration from you all too!!

Boss has just told me he's letting me out to play for the rest of the week :D which means a 5-8 mile walk for 3 days, so hopefully (if i remain injury free :D ) it should help burn some fat off :D

I do love it when he lets me out on the public, especially in the area i'm covering, , get chased down the street by angry punters looking for their giros \o/ yay more exercise.

Had to give in and have a bag of crisps at work today. Didn't have breakfast, the usual, and by the time it got to 12 i was starving. So hoping that and a sandwich will see me thru til dinner time

lol mazza, oh used to be a postman and the stories he tells me! people trying to buy giros off him, or trying to prevent mail being delivered to them in very hazardous ways. I like the thing about the dog instructions - is that still valid(or was it ever valid and he was justyanking my chain)? where if you have a naughty dog you send royal mail a list of instructions of how to deal with it and postie has to follow those instructions otherwise it's your own fault if you get bitten? He put one in for his own house which involved tapping on the door 3 times, rattling the letter box and opening the letterbox and peering through so that the dog could see. He got a right smack round the head from his colleague who followed it to the letter(!) to find a stuffed snoopy looking back at him.

Hi all, it's a 1lb gain for me this week please Granny back to TOTM. I have taken on board everyone's help though and am starting from this week to commit myself to this. The most important motivators for me are wanting to be fit enough to fully commit to my voluntary work with street children and enjoy the Himalayas. For this next month if I can remain focussed in amongst all the preparations I'll be very pleased with myself.

In other news, my SiL is about to have her baby!

victory - tell him if he starts fancying bacon it's probably swine flu:rotfl:. Hope you feel better soon.

-1lb off for me please granny. There's no doubt that the next stone barrier is proving an excellent 'that's enough' . I think the thing is, I feel the size am now I look 'good enough', so I feel ok settling for that, even though 1 stone lighter would be better health wise but I know I just haven't got it in me to fight and struggle and be miserable.

    Great stuff dmv!
re the squash - if the rest of the meal is 45mins in the oven - I think you could bung it in from frozen and it would have warmed through, other wise there is the risk of it being burnt. Freezing half done sounds feasible. I reckon you just ought to try your ideas out and see what works best for you: it's not like meat products (or rice) where reheating etc properly is so vital.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Yes there are still special instructions for dogs, I used to carry dog biscuits with me, but too many ppl complained :D and too many strays following me :p My general rule whilst doing a strange duty is, loose dog, no mail! Sorry, I don't get paid enough to wrestle with dogs too :p

BTW it's not just the dogs u have to worry about, got some nasty cats who jump at your fingers as u stick em thru the doors, had some nasty scratches that way :p

A 1lb gain for me this week --- not a happy granny as I've accurately recorded (well as accurately as you can - not yet taking the scales out with me :rotfl:) every scrap of food and drink and exercised a bit more than usual. BB could you work your magic and re-lilac me?
