ffm I had that and the maintain weight was too low but I WOULD not be told, I knew best I wanted to prove it could be done, that it was the best weight etc and once looked in the mirror and I looked gaunt on the face because of the weight loss so decided to up it by a few lbs and looked better, did not feel so great with the lbs on but it made sense, it is not always easy to go exactly by the charts that say you should weight this your BMI should be this and we should all look the same:D
Keeping focused kept me going, don't you find that once the weight comes off there seems as if there is nothing left to think of or fight for or work towards but then again the maintaining takes up just as much hard work, focusing and planning:rolleyes:
Difficult one, I looked old and haggarded and ill and gaunt on the face:rolleyes: so few monitored lbs back on did the trickmade me look human;):D
Hi Victory, yes my maintain weight probably is too low - but I don't tell anyone, so I don't suffer from 'I won't be told' :rotfl:(but I wouldn't be told anyway).
The trouble is, that if I do put on any lbs it goes straight on my hips, thighs and calfs - never where I want it. A bit more on my face or boobs would be quite nice
For me losing the weight was the easy bit, maintaining is so much harder. When you are losing weight the number on the scale reduces and you feel as if you have achieved something which spurs you on to continue. By maintaining, the number goes up and down, when it goes up I really struggle not to be demotivated and sabotage my hard work - when I have gained I am usually slower to post my Weekly Weigh In  Says it all really.

BB - your post made me laugh. I was thinking exactly the same thing about being a grumpy old woman, but then I already new that... I can just imagine my face if I'd been put in front of a panel of my son's school year. If they'd given me any difficulty I think I'd have had to mention the pictures on facebook of them comatose, drinking and smoking spliffs, and then ask if they understood my credentials, experience and qualifications. The fact that the blummin job is way below what I'm truly capable of, is neither here nor there, but getting children to interview is just taking the pee, surely? I get questioned enough by my own children, but they also know who is boss around here, and my older 2 do not question my authority as their elder. Perhaps if school children were made more aware of that way of thinking things might not be so chaotic in school.
Back on topic; I ate a walnut whip today, and it made me feel ever so slightly sick. What's the point of that? I was having a major chocolate craving, but it was soon over! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
aww, victory, you've such a lot on your plate at the mo, i admire you immensely for juggling it all so well. Bindi is your soggy moggy back yet?!0

Just watched the entire Michael Jackson memorial, never cried so much in all my life, it was so utterly moving and the reverend saying 'children of Michael Jackson, I want you to know that there is nothing strange about your father....buckets of tears.
You know all I really thought about when I heard he had died was his kids, just like I would anyone else with kids his age. I had a break for emmerdale but watched the rest of it and admit to crying at the end when his daughter spoke and broke down. OH always says I have too much empathy as I cant help but think how others must be feeling and then I cry for them.
My internet went funny yesterday which helped me finish my report, meaning apart from going to the library to get books for the next lot, I have had a uni work free day :T and am now relaxing with a glass of wine so today has been a real treat!
BB - I recall you saying you had batch cooked roasted butternut squash to freeze. Can you tell me how much you cook it before and after freezing and if it needs defrosting etc or cook from frozen. Also does it taste as good after freezing? I would definitely like to cook and freeze that and peppers as i have a lot but not sure if peppers would freeze well? Would i need to freeze it raw or cooked? So many questions! Thank you in advance for any advice, I think im good for my age but I still need some help occassionally!0 -

The butternut squash - I tend to be fairly casually about and bulk cook it when I am using the oven for something else to make the most of the leccy. An hr is easily enough (I sprinkle them with herbs of provance, rather nice). I don't think it need to be a precise time. I also roast peppers and freeze them with no problem. I think the butternut squash tastes as good and I have both reheated from frozen (in portions)and de-thawed, obviously the former takes longer. I find it a great substitute for potato if I am lowering my carbs for a few days.
The peppers are much the same really and I have used them both in salads after thawing and hot dishes. You can't really go wrong with giving it a try.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Thanks BB! I usually cook for 45-hour also, so would I then freeze, defrost then stick back in the oven with the rest of the fresh veg till its heated through again? Sorry Im being dense tonight - its the wine! I was thinking maybe I would be better to cook for less time initially before freezing (say 30 minutes) so it doesnt overcook when i defrost and use at a later date?

morning all! trying to plan my syns for a trip to pizza express! I think it's gonna have to be a lasagne(i know it should be a sald but they bore me and I refuse to pay for food i don't actually want). The pizzas all seem way off the radar, and can't find the new light ones on the syn count. NEither of the pasta dishes are synned, but it's a choice between lasagne and chicken and 4 cheese pasta. What do you think?0
