PepPop - no homemade dumpling, just the Bell$ packs that Sain$bury had at half price recently. I bought several packs and stuck them in the freezer. Homemade's too expensive for my meagre grocery budget because we'd eat the whole thing in 2 days here. :o

Bails, all my extras are much less than the extras I have been eating previously - there are no crisps, doughnuts or chocolate among that lot, so I'm staying confident, but also rather weak willed!

    Hello,

I've not been on here in a long time... oops!
I really need some motivation to lose weight. I got engaged a few months ago and i'm going wedding dress shopping in a few weeks time.

I want to lose around about 1 stone, I'm not so much overweight as I am flabby and out of shape!

So I'm exercising a bit more, but struggling to cut down on the junk food!!
    Please help!
At the moment, starting weight is 9stone 4lbs, aim 8st 4lbs

Much love to all, Paula x

I have the same motivation Paula. I'm refusing to go look at wedding dresses until I'm under 9 1/2 stone (another 5 lbs to go) and I want to be 8 1/2 stone at the end of it all, which would give me a bmi of 18.7. I've already lost slightly over a stone, so I figure I'm over the hump, just got to keep on going.

Can't advise on the exercise though, don't really do any, no time spare at all! (I know everyone uses this excuse, but we were recently asked for dinner with friends and the first free evening we had was over a month away!). I just track my food and cut out some of the rubbish, and that seems to work for me.

Victory - I can't believe some peoples lack of sensitivity. Mind you, when a friend of mine was diagnosed with Breast cancer, I was the 1st one she told (on the phone) and within 10 seconds I seemed to have mentioned Linda Mc dying from it:o. There was a silence on the other end of the phone and then we both burst into laughter, and couldn't stop. After which I said I can't believe I just said that.
Still we had a good laugh and she has gone on to be sucessfully treated and be clear 4 yrs later.

At my friends funeral we were all hanging about waiting for the coffin car to arrive and I had put on the side a choc bar, went to make a drink and the choc bar had gone before I could think of what I was actually saying, I said in a loud voice 'o.k, who has got my choc bar, if I find out who it is they are dead':rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It really doesn't mater if you don't always lose, not putting anything on is FANTASTIC.

Well, it's that telling moment. Despite all odds (and pineapple upside down cake)

    -1lb for me! happy.gif

This has tipped the balance to make it the first time this entire year that I have been under 75kg even after all the walking & running! :j I'll get back to that as soon as I'm fit enough to ensure nothing creeps back on again.
