    Hi guys :hello:

Well, the blind lady with the weighing scales was on the street today so I hopped on quickly before anyone could come rushing over to see how much the white woman weighs :D It seems I've lost a stone since England, taking me to just under 11 stone, but as we can't know how far out her scales are compared to mine, can I just be put on the chart as having lost 8.8 lbs so far please, as I definitely know I've lost that amount. I'm very happy with that, especially as I am definitely building muscle too :T

The scales are in kilos but I'll record my weight in lbs as it seems like a bigger loss :p

How's everyone else doing, with life and WL too?

Hello :) (And special hi to Bails, sorry for confusing you but I have to do something about the extra weight that I've piled on since quitting cigarettes and horses :o)

Still not eating between meals but the meals aren't particularly low cal! :o Umm... I made a pineapple upside down cake yesterday and HAD to have a slice after dinner. I have made no effort whatsoever to alter what I eat, only the amount consumed, so weight loss could be slow here. But I am still adamant that I'll get into a smaller size by the end of this month.

BB, yes, I had the children when I was 23 & 25 ish, the DD had one at only 17 (an absolute shock, but we got over it eventually), so being a gran is much easier than even contemplating being a mum at my age (45). Several of my friends chose to travel, build houses, have careers and then have families, I sometimes wish I'd been that sensible but then I think - naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, it's time to organise my mid-life crisis before the menopause kicks in! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: So, finances are in as best order I can get them, I no longer spend on cigarettes (or buy horses :o) and next up is the weight problem. I've always been a hearty eater but have turned into a lazy bones over the past few years since work feels more like semi-retirement, so it has to stop. Or else I'll not be fit enough to have a mid-life crisis let alone have some fun. :D
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hi all, hope you all had a great weekend.

Missy - can I ask how did you get into exercise? Have you always done it or what got you started? You're at the stage I would love to be at. I have been going to the gym on and off for a while now and am determined that this time I will stick it out until I am fit, healthy and have lost weight.

nykmedia - I threw out all my fat clothes when I lost weight the last time so I am now in the position that all the clothes I have are sooo tight. I feel like i'm wearing corsettes most of the time:rolleyes:. But I refuse to spend money on clothes. At least your going in the right direction:D.

Hi bails - I'm a newbee and I have just read your signature WOW how jealous am I. You must be having a great time!!:j
As for my weight loss I feel a bit cheated - I bust a gut last week at the gym and just before I'm due to weigh in for the 1st time this Wedneday TOTM has reared it's horrible head a week early. I think my body has gone it to shock cos i made it exercise. Just need to see what Wednesday brings (AARGH)
  • commiserations peppop - there's always next week!

i'm even more excited now because I've booked tickets to go to a gig! OH says he is disgusted and ashamed, but i'm looking forward to it. I'm going to see lulu, chaka khan and anastacia. The last gig i went to was s club 7!

Don't listen to him. I think that sounds great espec anastacia - i think she's excellent. Although I wouldn't admit to S club - I never admit to Five or Peter Andre:rotfl:

What are you two like with your guilty pleasure pop confessions?! Hi Peppop, nice to 'meet' you :hello: I am very lucky with what I'm doing right now; it's been a long time coming! Don't be too down about TOTM, it's just one of those things. Keep going with what you're doing and I'm sure it'll show next week. I'm sure Missy will be along to answer your question properly soon but she's a relatively recent convert to exercise so there's hope for everyone!
    Thanks Vic, feels good!

    Hello,

I've not been on here in a long time... oops!
I really need some motivation to lose weight. I got engaged a few months ago and i'm going wedding dress shopping in a few weeks time.

I want to lose around about 1 stone, I'm not so much overweight as I am flabby and out of shape!

So I'm exercising a bit more, but struggling to cut down on the junk food!!
    Please help!
At the moment, starting weight is 9stone 4lbs, aim 8st 4lbs

Much love to all, Paula x
