I'm managing to not snack between meals but keep getting caught out by the sweets at night whilst watching DVDs or TV! I am, however, making sure that they are nil or trace fat, like gums and pastilles with occasional lurch for liquorice allsorts. :o I keep checking weight now that we have scales and I've treated myself to 2 new pairs of jeans, one my current size, and one a size down. I'm hoping to be able to get into the second pair by the end of this month. If that happens, I'm going to buy another 2 pairs in sale (if still available) of same size and next size down. Ultimately, I'd love to be a size 10 again but I may need to hang around here for a while. :rotfl:I don't even care if I'm a size 10 and weight 10 stone, I just want to fit into a size 10! :D

Hi nykmedia. I like you're way of thinking two pairs one that fits one that's smaller . I'm on the same mission. My OH bought me two pairs of really skinny jeans when i lost weight the last time and had about 3 or 4 lbs to go to fit into them properly. Needless to say they're still hanging up in the wardrobe in the "I WILL get into to you one day" (before you look old fashioned) section:rotfl:

PepPop, I cheated with the jeans after finding codes on MSE - got 2 pairs stretchy straight leg jeans from €van$ - advertised at special offer 2 for £30, I used 2 sets of codes from MSE forums, both worked, ordered via cashback site, paid with cashback CC and overall cost ended up at £22 inclusive of delivery, so not a bad offer considering I live nowhere near any shops that sell jeans :D

lol, I'm the opoiste. I refuse to buy new clothes 'thast i won't be wearing for that long anyway because i'll definitely be losing the weight' which means I'm squeezing into stuff that's old, tatty and far too tight.

I hated loosing weight based on the clothes thing. Although back then i wasnt as fashionable as i am now but still, clothes were still important.

Im going to make a christmas cake on sunday. Im very excited, its like the housewife thing to do and i suppose i like that feeling i get sometimes when i make matt dinner. Although Matt is sloooooooooooowly getting trained. This morning he got up, had a wee and wheeled out the wash bin to put the washing on first thing in the morning!! I was in shock, i layed there a little longer to soak up the moment :p When i got back from age conern he said he had put another one on! Shocked.

It wasn't very MSE but I loved the feeling of starting afresh once all my old clothes had gone :D. I didn't much like having to make 'intermediate' purchases on my weight loss journey but it became necessary, especially with trousers :rotfl:

Can't remember the last time the 'total loss' on here was a (teeny tiny) gain, but I bet it'll be a good week next week!

I've been analysing my summer's exercise & weight results etc, and made a 'tweak' to my numbers for the winter season, reducing again the amount of calorie burn I credit myself with for exercise. After two weeks it's looking good, but the proof will be in the next weigh in ;)

This week I've done 24km running, 31.7km cycling & one 6.5km hike, will probably do one more session this weekend but not sure what yet :p

    Have a great weekend everyone!
  • just reading your posts tires me out missy.
  • Morning all.
I know buying the next size down would so not work for me but anything that works as a motivator for anyone else is a good thing. I'm buying a few clothes on ebay at the mo as I am feeling a bit shabby and it's time to smarten up a bit - really effects my morale when my clothes feel limp and ill fitting. I continue to maintain to at least I am keeping the 1.5 st off that I lost, even if the final stone came back.
A couple more to view the room today, but not til early evening as OH is at work. Came home like a drowned rat yesterday - the joysof working outdoors in driving rain.

Went to see friends new baby thursday - 2 gorgeous outfits as pressies, totally as new for very little from charity shops (been looking over last 9 months) and a home made cake so very MSE & recipients loved them. They were thrilled as clothes only 'non blue' clothes they've been given. Baby fell asleep in my arms so I sent the parents to bed to sleep as they looked so shattered and baby slept for 2 hrs and they were very grateful. So a scussful visit all round:D

Today I have a long list of tasks I would like to complete...
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
