Peaceful day yes, peaceful night.........AAAAAARGH
have got my DD's cat staying with us atm while she's in hospital, BAAAAAAD idea. My own cat been screeching at him, while he growls like a dog. Tried shutting them in different rooms but Misty can open all the doors. Plan B was to let it sort them out themselves, didn't work. Hopefully DD will be out soon and they can be separated at last.
BTW does anyone know if it's common practice to give people in hospital warfarin injections these days? Thought they just did that prior to or after surgery.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
well done victory!0

i am actaully excited to be on slimming wolrd, and all my hard work seems to be undone in a matter of days.....
i mean, we def didnt scrimp on the ice cream and lots of olive oil etc... but anyway...what can you do, back on the wagon!
granny - are you doing the chart?, can you add the 5lb i previously lost, which will bring me to an overall loss of -3lb. doeant seem so bad now.shift the bulge! - 54lb lost so far :j .....alot more to go......:eek:0 -
Don't forget that the initial post holiday weight gain seems large and frightening but once back on slimming world it sorts itself out and disappears rather quickly because the body gets used to going back to the healthy eating plan and looses very quickly, same applies to TOTM it is only a 'part time' gain, a false reading over all, it comes back off:D0

Went to post a parcel at lunchtime, and our post office is twinned with a thorntons (evil I know!) and I decided since I've had nothing all week and had some rubbish news this morning, I'd treat myself to a kiddies pack of chocolate buttons. When I looked at them though this tiny little packet has 212 cals in it and costs 69p - bad on the MSE and the diet front! Put them back and left in a hurry, and am sat eating blueberries sulking that chocolate is so bad for me.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ah but sulk not as you put them back and all that fat you would have put into your lovely healthy trimming body is not there, the cals can be used to have something else equally as lovely, better for you, filling, healthy and much more scrummulicious than a few buttons;)0

Mazza - I'm glad your trip went well yesterday. As for the Warfarin advice; my mum takes it after having had a stroke, and it's an anti-coagulant, as you probably know. I'd be unsure why it would be given routinely, and I would have thought that it would be something to be careful of with a kidney condition, but that's just my laywoman's thoughts. I think it would be a very valid reason to ask why at the hospital. I hope your daughter is feeling much better soon, and back home, and I think your cat will be hoping for that too!
Victory - I cooked the same meal for all the children tonight, and they loved it. It was a recommended cheap meal from MSE: baked spuds, baked beans & sausages from the basics range/or plain baked beans, grated cheese, and some left over pork sausages from yesterday's meal. All eaten, and my eldest's girlfriend tucked into her's happily too. Cooking for 7 is becoming a more regular thing these days. I love cottage pie too, so I'd have said the same as your son.
Well it's TOTM due any day now, and I'm feeling heavy, bloated and achy. It plays my stomach up too, so I'm on the loo alot, but having got on the scales this morning, and knowing how I've been a stodge queen of late, I'm not surprised to see 4lb on, but I know that TOTM can do that anyway, so I'll declare a STS this week, and hope TOTM is over by this time next week.
Right, I'm watching Economy Gastronomy, so need to concentrate now.
rosie - glad you had a fab holiday, and those few lbs will be gone in no time
dinah - well done on resisting those chocolates. Perhaps you need to give yourself another bit of a treat or indulgence, like a long bath, or just a biscuit with your cuppa tonight?
Vixstar - welcome back. let us know how the belly dancing goes... you'll be like Shakira eh? Boy can she move! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Our dinner was pasta and they all ate it no probs love the stuff, we always make it with chicken and my home made sauce with whatever is there, toms, peppers, mushrooms, onions, garlic, whatever, tomorrow is cuban chicken from economy gastronomy.
Made today flapjacks, oat crumble biscuits and muesli bars, the flap jacks are all gone the biscuits also but the muesli bars did not stick and so look like a crumbly mess but a fab idea for the kids to eat raisins, pumkin seeds, sesame seeds, oats, nuts, very healthy and not one of them would eat it if it was not rolled up into one looking like the bars they have in their lunch box:D got the recipes by googling flapjacks, oat etc, the idea started because I have 2 boxes of muesli (cheap from sainsburys) all of them have taken a dislike to the muesli for breakfast, no way was I going to throw it out so decided to make something with it, I remember making cakes with weetabix when we bought oatibix and they did not like it and they ate it, got rid of the manky looking bananas by making a banana loaf, the youngest loves that and takes some to school, at the moment he is heavily into smoothies, so we spend a lot of time in the kitchen making combinations of fruit and for that you cannot get cheaper than aldi the 6 for 6 each week are a life saver, kiwis and grapes, mangoes 49 p or 69 then you go to Sainburys and one mango was on sale for £1.50:eek::D aldi my new fav store, OH does not like going because it is miles away and moans about the petrol but the cucumbers there were 29p nowhere else, so cheap.:D0
