Update : All scans are still inconclusive. Surgeon who is treating her is going to consult with another doctor and get back to her at some point this evening. It's been quite hard as they won't tell me anything as she's an adult, but is too shy to ask anything lol. But she finally asked tonight, and the warfarin is because she's sleeping a lot and therefore immobile, so it's a preventative measure against blood clots. Also because her heart rate was rather high, it helped thin the blood and let her heart rate slow down a wee bit.... Good news tonight that her heart rate is back to normal, and is still getting the warfarin injections. Poor wee thing looks like a pin cushion.

Will try to weigh in tomorrow, although i'm not looking forward to it :rotfl:Out on delivery duty tomorrow, so at least i will be getting some exercise :T

Mazza Hope your daughter's better soon.

All this talk of food is making me hungry. Had a big lunch so was just planning on soup but may have to rethink slightly. Not a lot of choice actually as I didn't get to dinner cos I dragged myself to the gym, and had a thoroughly enjoyable run, and I don't have much in food wise and don't want to go to Asda again.

Scary: I know what you mean, my mum lives by a similar thing of roast on sunday, cold meat monday ect. I just really do not like them. I'd rather not eat sometimes than have to make things, especially when its just me having dinner. I think i will be the kinda mum that will say if you dont like what were having you can go without ha. I think its probably why im fussy because mum never let me go on an empty stomach untill i was older and could go and get food elsewhere if i wanted to.

As for the potato mincer? please. Another thing i dont like with Mash, is when you get the hard bits in it. Oh my god it makes me gag. I think that marks the end of what i have to say about mash.

OHH i might be going out in London this weekend!!!!!! I am sooo excited. I hope theres alot of men who like buying girls drinkies in London because its expensive right?
  • sounds promising maz. fingers crossed for you both!
  • Hello all, I've been rather busy trying to organise myself and the kids now that I've started a proper full-time job and have been a bit rubbish this week, what with inductions and what feels like bucketloads of coffee (which I just have to have with plenty of sugar). But, have also purchased a dry-wipe board, one for fridge for food related stuff and one for bedroom as a general checklist of daily tasks. Hoping this will remind me to always make a healthy lunch to take to work. Will be weighing in tomorrow morning, so think I will definately be giving up my SOTW status!

Bit late, but victory, love the roses, they're my absolute favourite (wedding dress was a red rose print) so v jealous, been years since hubby surprised me.

Will try nd check in daily to keep on straight and narrow, have a wedding to go to on 31st Oct (yep Halloween!!), so want to fit into one of my too tight dresses for that. Should make it.
  • Not very well, boo hiss so not up to anything much today or yesterday. Particularly annoying as I am on leave with lots planned, hohum.

I have spent the day being very entertained working through 114 pages of the ga5tronomy ecOnomy' forum. Got a great recipe for brownies from it which I have just made for OH so not a completely wasted day. (recipe not actually from the prog but from Jackie magazine circa 1970's) I always feel a little better in the evening when poorly.
Dinner was ratatuoille with added veg that needed using up, added can of baked beans, grated cheese on top an sir fried chicken taken from free range chicken I bought yesterday.

Mazza - I really hope they get to the bottom of your dd problem Very frustrating re the information getting!
Dinah - your post made me laugh, well done on resisting! Finding a replacement treat for emergencies is a good sugestion. Definitely think we need more cals in the winter to help our bodies keep warm.... but it's not even autumn yet:D
vixstar - belly dancing sounds great fun
rosie - that 4lbs wil melt off far quicker this time if you get straight back to sw, honestly. We've all seen how holiday gains can be shifted very quickly.
    well done on sts victory
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • Good evening all
Finally got back on the SW way yesterday, I have had 2 good days and even walked the dog tonight with hubby in tow. He is waiting for op on knee and has not been able to play any sport since Feb so has gained a couple of stone. Walking is not comfortable but he knows he must do something. Did 30 lengths of my 1716 for aspire channel swim last night and really enjoyed it. I am planning on going 3 times a week to get all lengths done by mid December.
I will weigh in the morning just to get on chart with 2 days loss and then have proper weigh in next Wednesday. Hope that's ok.
I really need a list of quick free foods on either day I can get when I get home cos some days I work 14 hours and need a 'quick fix', does anyone know if such list exists anywhere? I also need a weekly menu for either day that I can adapt to suit me needs, does that exist anywhere here or another site?
    Thanks guys

Mazza - Hugs to you :grouphug:for your daughter.

2.5 lb off this week - but away to stay with a friend in the south of France tomorrow evening until Monday evening so the chances of keeping it off are not high. And it 's raining in the S of France. But hey -- it's still going to be great!
