Victory - gorgeous flowers. I use a really cheapo set of scales I bought in Instore/Home Bargains for about £6. They're a flat glass weighing area, and have oz/kilo/gram setting, and a zero reset too. I use them all the time, and think they're great. These are similar in what they do, although look slightly different : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Salter-Black-Electronic-Platform-Kitchen/dp/B00140VYEG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1252782969&sr=1-5
Busy day here for me, although BF and I did sit in the garden a couple of times for a well deserved cuppa. I've painted the back hallway walls & ceiling, to freshen it up. I cooked a nice chinese style meal this evening - even my own egg fried rice, done the healthy way. It was very scrummy. It was such a beautiful day today, so I've managed to get all my washing washed and dried, and it smells divine. I hope it stays nice again tomorrow, as I'll be doing some digging in the garden to make my veg patch bigger.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

I bought a stainless steel mixing bowl today , a potato ricer to make perfect mash and had my hands on the exact same scales as yours gs in the 25% off debenhams sale but that owas the one thing I put back because they were £17 plus the discount and could not justify them, saw the perfect mash on the economy gastronomy with the ricer and they said never use plastic mixing bowls so got those two things, bought the book last week and lvoe the recipes, did ribs and beans tonight and everyone hated it:rolleyes: did choc brownies with white choc chips and they all thought I had put cheese in it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: wasted on this family, tomorrow is one stew pot of meatballs, the family are thinking of ways to move out in time:rotfl::rotfl: the meat cost so much I am determined they are going to eat it and like it, although they steadfastly refused to eat the pork ribs/belly pork rib and beans and I saw the amount of oil/grease in it and never had any so not sure what to do with it now, because the belly pork has been put into it the gravy and all tastes greasy so cannot save the sauce to put in another recipe and throw the belly out, such a waste, it is still on the side even though OH said he would do the kindest thing to it and throw it in the bin whilst I don't look:rotfl::rotfl:just can't do it, the whole point of economy prog is not to throw things out so can't :rolleyes:0

Hi I am a newcomer to this thread, not the forum and have put on a stone in 2 years.
I hope to give and receive some advice and share some experiences about weight.
I would love to go down by 1.5 to 2 stone as my clothes are looking bad on me and wearing the bum and tum skimmers, rather than the fitted jackets, so half my wardrobe is unwearable just now and looked great 2 years ago.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

Can you find foods you all like that are not expensive, lower in fat and taste good? I swear if we had to only please ourselves, we would not have put the weight on in the first place. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

My masher is available, i never make mashed potato anymore. Soo much effort for something quite boring i find. Plus i think i asociate it with boring food because mum has it alot.
