  • How sneaky are Graham White Solicitors!!! Not heard from them for a couple of weeks now, but just a few minutes ago my mobile phone starts ringing and when I look to see who is calling it's a mobile telephone number - and one that I don't recognise. So naturally I answer my phone and a lady asks to speak with me. I ask who is calling, and she says Kelly from Graham White Solicitors...at that point I hung up.

I'm presuming that hanging up is the right course of action to take with these people??

Can I also ask...does anyone know of any person who has been taken to court for not paying a parking charge??? I'm a little intrigued.

    Cheers

Kelly will not be from Graham White Solicitors. She will be from Roxburghe, making a call as "GW". If she rings back, ask her if she is from Roxburghe and is this a "GW" call?

I would ask them to hang on and then press the mute button.
  • Thanks Sarah. I will try that tact next time I receive a call from Graham White...I do believe that both GW and Roxburghe operate from the same office, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was staff from Roxburghe making the telephone calls....interesting!!

It IS Roxbirghe staff who make the calls. Someone on pepipoo posted one of their case logs that showed them making calls and writing letter as "GW".

It is definitely Roxburghe staff passing themselves off as 'GW'.

Read about it on the pepipoo thread Sarah mentioned:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=52809

    You can either:

    - put the phone down.

    - say 'I will just get him/her' then leave them dangling (preferably with musak playing!) then put the phone down half an hour later.

    - say 'oh right, it's you Kelly, from Roxburghe. I hope you've logged down that you are passing yourself off as 'GW' today, you must complete your templates correctly after all. How about putting: 'tonight, Matthew, I'm going to be.....GW!'

    - or talk gobbledegook, have a laugh at them, read a poem to them in a serious voice, repeat 'errrrr...that's verrrrry interesting' or 'errrr....what, sorry I'm a bit deaf' to every single sentence in a monotone voice, over and over again.

    - or get rid of them. Tell them that 'any alleged debt to any private parking company is expressly denied'. Tell them to log that where the sun don't shine and that they must now pass the file back to the originator. Any further contact in any form from Roxburghe or any of their alter egos will result in them facing a criminal case for harassment.

Here's the link with info about what you can quote and who you can report the offences to, re the criminal charge of harassment:

P.S. Yes we have heard of the odd PPC trying to take people to Small Claims and losing. For example, OPC are a deluded PPC who have lost about a dozen cases this year. Excel and Trethowans (for NHS) have also lost cases recently. Don't worry at all - most PPCs wouldn't go near a Court and certainly the Roxburghe scam NEVER ends in Court, not ever.

There is a robust defence available on pepipoo.com (but you won't need it).:D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Thanks very much for your reply.

Today the story continues....I've just arrived home from the gym and upon collecting my post, I have received yet another letter from Graham White. This time it is the 'FINAL WARNING' letter telling me the concequences of not paying the settlement, and that I should be assured that this matter will not go away without solution or resolution!

Is it worth forwarding the letters from GW onto the solicitors regulation authority with a covering letter?

    Cheers.

  • Do not pay Central Ticketing one penny. They are scum. I have finally, after over a year, now got them off my back. So, what will happen next:
    1. Well, firstly give up with any appeal -don't waste your time or money on postage, all appeals will be unsuccessful.
    2. You will then get a letter from Roxburgh Debt Collecting agency - again, do nothing. Do not write and explain - this is a waste of time.
    3. You will then get a letter from Roxburgh's solicitors - Graham White Solicitors, Surrey. Ignore this letter also.

Do not worry, ignore all letters. Roxburgh Debt Collectors and Graham White share an office ! Ummmm, how handy is that - they can share the costs of rent and utility bills and staff wages by paying with the money they steal from people who are too scared to ignore them! This is a scam. You will get an official looking letter from Graham White Solicitors stating "Notice of Intended Prosecution" or words to that effect. It is scare-mongering. PLEASE, just ignore this. Keep all correspondence and if/when you do get these letters, advise the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA) about Graham White Solicitors, Surrey (I put Surrey because there is another Graham White Solicitors who, quite rightly, state that they are nothing to do with Graham White Solicitors, Surrey). Go to Watchdog and inform them also. Please, do not pay them. It will take a long time for them to stop pestering but they will eventually.
