I've just picked another two pounds of strawberries after picking a similar amount on Saturday. Our freezer is already starting to look pretty full. And later today I'm going to pick my first two Kohl Rabi which have just reached the size of tennis balls.0

I have a north facing garden which means I always seem to be behind everyone else with my produce but this year so far I have had more lettuce than I can keep up with and radishes. Have lots of green strawberries though and my peppers are all flowering so I will EVENTUALLY get some yummy things. No flowers on my tomato plants yet but they are all looking nice and healthy so it can't be far off!

Lotus Eater, harvested the 2 gooseberry bushes and got about 7kg. Made into about 5kg of jam and 4L of granita. Just had some jam on bread still warm from breadmaker..lovely!
Blackcurrants look to be maybe 10kg from 2 bushes, now netted and expect to do first pick this weekend. Its looking like jam, granita, pies and freezing whole. Jostaberry about 2 weeks away, first ever crop, netted, should be about 1kg.
Raspberries, should get a decent crop for the first time from about 12 fruiting canes, not sure what we'll do with them yet other than continuous snacking!
Strawberries, 15 plants planted earlier this year and small crop only, still cropping but next year should be much better. Got 5 varieties and seeing which is best.
Greengage will crop for first time, just 16 fruits (I counted them, how sad is that!) but a hint of things to come.
Of the 7 apple trees only the cox has got a fair crop (about 70 apples after the june drop), but bear in mind I'm training them and they're still quite young. Most of the others have just a few apples each. I'm guessing a crop of about 15kg this year and will store some, eat some and make pies.
The one thing I wont do this year is winemaking, still havent bottled the demijohns from last year but did blend the wines which was an experience in itself
Biggest disappointment this year was the rhubarb. I think it has outgrown the bed and needs moving although I may also have overcropped it last year.
See that your redcurrants and tayberries are doing well, hows the rest coming on?0
