I love the idea of making London traffic free on Sundays for running and cycling etc...but can you imagine the outcry ;)

:rotfl:... Its called getting up at 6am on a sunday :D..

The only cars you tend to see at that time on a sunday morning are.

a.. Smashed cars from drunk driveing.

    b. Smashed cars that have been stolen.

A seen 3 lots last sunday am on my run :eek:.

    ( stay up north rich ) ;)..

and what the matter with 5 Pots????

should i mention 8 slices of toast this morning :D!!!!
    Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06m
    Leicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m
    Athens 09 - Marathon - 3hr 51m

I do early morning Sunday runs - no smashed cars but then I live in poshville :p:p, I see lots of foxes then though, but still lots of cars :D:D

5 potatoes - I cant even finish one - are you 8 foot tall or summat??:confused:...8 slices of toast!!!

I'm trying to lose the 3 kilos left of the 5 I put on while off - so its no slices of toast for me atm (but licorice for brekkie :o)...I would like to get down to 8 stone ish whici would be ideal racing weight for me - but I'm not going to push it just wait and see what happens :D

Sorry E.C you said 3 days a week - do you have a preference which days?? Sunday is usually long run day..but it doesnt have to be :D

Also I think you would be fine to get up to marathon by Spring 2010...do you want me to do that and then you can peg back if its too tough - remember you are already running 4-5 miles :D

I am aiming to get out either Monday/Tuesday evenings and Thursday evenings and I work either a Friday or Saturday night in a bar so its which ever when ever I get out!!

If I work on a Saturday night (as of this week) I normally have a few beers on Friday night so getting up early on Saturday morning might not be easy!!

Do you drink alcohol Becky? If yes, how do you handle it when training?

Woohoo I've actually been for a run, only 3 miles and it was hard considering I climbed a mountain yesterday but at least I've been:D

I do drink E.C but literally a few (like two glasses of wine) - I also find running makes my hangover go away :D:D, its awful for about a mile and then its fine (apart from the one run where I was sick outside the houses of parliment :p)

I think its fine to drink - but you cant get smashed when you are in training - it slows you down and is a waste of time doing lots and lots of running if you are drinking 20 units a week as well...but thats just my thoughts - I cut down when I was training for the marathon but I never gave up - Rich ran on Sunday after drinking over a bottle of wine the night before and I would say it affected his performance, but its a balancing act - no one is saying stop completely :D:D

Thats fine to do your long run in the week though - will make it thursday on the plan and you can move it if you want! Done Pink's just yours to go - can you also PM me your email addy and I'll send it over later :D
  • Its not that I take loads of drink just 6-7 cans of beer at the height of it cant be bothered with the hangovers now!!

I will send you my email addy when I get back from heading out for lunch now good weather and all that!!

Wasnt trying to say you drink too much - merely that its about balance - have a life and enjoy it :D I've never been a huge drinker so two glasses is a lot for me!

    Beer though *rolls eyes*... :p
