evab - the trail of inappropriately attired people on Helvellyn in the summer is also a sight to behold ! I like it when then Lakes mountain rescue teams reports are rude about those they've had to rescue because of inadequate clothing and lack of understanding of mountainous regions and weather! Well done on getting out there today afterwards as well!

Liking the running smiley as well pink... cool-smiley-9022.gif

Ouch Krider that is not good - why would anyone steal bottled water...
  • that is awful!!! stealing water!!!! they should save the security guard money, and do what BUPA do, they get the army cadets (like scouts only with better uniforms) in to hand out and clean up the bottles, manchester was spotless within a couple of hours.

There are some nutters around - as you say becky why steal the water? Other than resale as it was bottled? But not often you see 250ml bottles for sale - usually 330, 500, 750ml - so would have thought it would stand out! Confused  The gels I guess might have been easier to resell...

Unless of course it was purely to cause disruption to runners/organisers... There are some very odd folks about.

Wish I was as fast as that second smiley pink :p

    Hi all
Beer tins took your advice and went out today instead- was too hot and too short of of time before dh went to work.
Did a short circuit (about 1.5 miles) first thing felt ok but legs were tired by end. Oh and 100m mums race for sports day this afternoon :p

Think I'll try and do another shortish one on Friday and a longer one sun, need to start thinking on to Great North Run.

    Happy running everyone

Its very hot at the moment smetf - so dont feel disheartened - I had to quit yesterday too!!!

Is there any way you can do earlier mornings or later in the evenings - it does help a lot when the sun is not fully out :D

    Good luck in 100m :D

I find the 'heat' worse than straight out sun - its when its hot in the shade I dont like - energy sapping in the thighs I find

Ah well am working earlier hours next week (boss has agreed) so can get some 7am ish runs in instead :D:D

Well done on the 6 though - have you thought any more about interval training for sub 40 10k??
