Congrats Rachel - wonderful feeling to crack a new milestone.

And Simply - loving those times today!

As far as hayfever goes, I take a once a day tablet daily since the hayfever season started. Anything less and I would suffer terribly in general, nevermind on runs. Possibly not that useful for you Enemies.Closer? If you need to do something like I'm doing, online pharmacies are the way to go (as advised by Martin) as they are way cheaper. Something like 90p for 30 days supply.

Todays run was another good one. 5 miles in 50:15 (so 10:02/mile pace). However what I was really pleased with was that the first four miles were done at an average pace of 10:16 feeling nice and steady like yesterday, and then the last mile was at 9:05 pace. Didn't feel too much like there was a kick early in the run, but towards the end I just thought go for it and see what is there sort of thing, as I can always walk back if need be (and handily it was mostly a level mile ;):p). Only done a handful of other training miles at or below that pace so things are starting to come together again (I hope ).

Looking forward to my 10k in early July now - after last week was fearing it :o

Total for the week = 11 miles.

(Erm, 5 spuds... UK  - wow!)

Hi all, went for a run today, feels like forever since I've run! Managed to get out of work early so went for a short 4 miles, sun was too hot & I couldn't cope, got round with a bit of walking.

Took the dog to the park tonight and for laughs decided to tie the garmin to her collar. Managed to clock her up to 27mph!!! I love the map she created :D

First run out since the half marathon and it would seem nothing is broken so, armed with some more snippets of information re progress to date from the weekend's efforts, it is now back into full training for the final 12 weeks before the marathon.:D

Raphael - A nice piece of modern art there!;)

Krider - Good work, doesn't it seem easier when you go with the flow of how the body wants to run!!

Beer Tins - You could always do a Glastonbury Parkrun around the perimeter fence. And I have a feeling you will still feel young there, there's still a big contingent of 1960s hippies hanging around.

Simply - You will get just as much benefit from a half marathon preceded by a gentle 10K warm up.:D

Thanks Rich I'll stop worrying now and look for a September 1/2 - I think that there might be one in the New Forest that would fit the bill.

    Nice running krider - that's a good pace. :D

Love the map raphael - don't think I'd want to run that route though :rotfl:

Hope the run to work went ok Becky :D

    A nice steady 4 miles for me this morning - 00:40:18 (10:02/mile) - I wasn't copying you honestly krider.

I'm still in shock at Uk eating 5 jacket pots!!

    I did it :D:D

4 miles in 44:15 (which includes traffic stops as I'm too lazy to stop the watch :p) - am happy but am soooo unfit - having to put in a lot of effort to even go at that pace but one ponit between 3 and 4 miles I did get into a lovely grove and was flying away :D

Going to walk home tonight and hopefully run in again tomorrow then have a rest day on Friday while I think about doing the Wimbledon Parkrun on Sat - I'll at least warm up anyway. Then on Sunday I can go out with Rich and do a few laps while he does a long run :p

morning, just popping in, got a fun race if anyone fancies the trip to sunny south wales ( as I've moved down south I will be heading back for this)
Sat 5th Sept: Roman Run: Brecon to Merthyr ( 16.5 miles roughly, all off road and up a great big mountain, a nice 45degree climb!!!).

am looking for race down south for the next few months as prep for the jungle marathon. Any suggestions greatly received
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D
