    Hi all

So having run my longest distance ever on Sun- my legs are still feeling it slightly do I go for a short run or another days rest? More experienced runners thoughts?

    TIA
    Smetf

Can you run tomorrow? If so, I'd say rest today. If not, no harm in going out on a slow one to keep you ticking over. For your body to get the full benefit from your runs, you should give it the rest it needs though.

Hey, Beer Tins, do you fancy doing Wimbledon this coming weekend?

Would love to, but I'll be in Glastonbury pretending I'm still young, so no can do this week!

RE: hayfever, my wife gets this pretty bad. Not much I can suggest really, but console yourselves with the fact that after June the worst will be over!

P.S. I'm like the oracle today :rotfl:

  • Hmmm, perhaps the oracle can be of help to me then??? I am in need of assistance please everyone :D

I've been looking at my training plan for Abingdon (scary though it is) and I have a 20 mile race scheduled for September. I've looked on RW and Running Bug events pages and the only race I can find around this distance is in Dunstable - it's quite a way for me to travel, which isn't too much of a problem, but it is off road with few markers and is hilly. Not ideal then :rotfl:

So ... does anyone know of a 20 miler around this time that might be more suitable please???

Not sure I can help on that one, don't know of another 20 miler around then. But you could substitute one of your training runs for a half mara and do a 20 mile training run around then instead. Not exactly ideal, but given the options...

I'm here. Not a fat lot to say, though, really.

Did a 4.2 at lunch, very easy and unremarkable :)
