Reporting back with a 2:12:17 chip time for the Windsor half (which I see becky beat me too ). According to the early results I was placed 2758 out of 4630 finishers. It was very very hot - 20C forecast, car said it was 25C outside at 5pm as we were leaving. Am still somewhat pink today and my nose feels beacon-esque! Was on pace for 2:10 finish up to about 8/9 miles, but 6 through to 10 there was hardly any shade I can remember. Several casualties on the side of the course from what looked like heat issues in the latter stages - so I slowed a bit as I was feeling the heat by then. 2 minutes is not worth it! That and the steeper hill around 10 miles - ouch! But still, beat my 2:15 goal

Details later - need to go and find some lunch now!

Have to say, I'm feeling fine, today, too.

I'd scheduled today as a rest day for recovery, but regretting that now...my legs are a little tired, but could have gotten away with a 9 miler or so I reckon - must work on distance if I'm gonna do a half in 3 weeks

ETA: was obviously just the warm weather had us all warmed up - nothing to do with lack of effort at all, honest
