Evening all!
An interesting run to say the least - feeling good but then neck started hurting so cut it short and slowed it down:
Monday - 3.5 miles in 29:27 8:25 mins/mile but the first two miles were in 16:10 which is 8:05 mins/mile - which I cant quite believe tbh but its what the watch said when I decided to slow down - I was pretty out of breath so maybe its right...
Anyway going to try for intervals tomorrow if my neck is better - if not I'll skip them this week and go onto easy runs0 -

). According to the early results I was placed 2758 out of 4630 finishers. It was very very hot - 20C forecast, car said it was 25C outside at 5pm as we were leaving. Am still somewhat pink today and my nose feels beacon-esque! Was on pace for 2:10 finish up to about 8/9 miles, but 6 through to 10 there was hardly any shade I can remember. Several casualties on the side of the course from what looked like heat issues in the latter stages - so I slowed a bit as I was feeling the heat by then. 2 minutes is not worth it! That and the steeper hill around 10 miles - ouch! But still, beat my 2:15 goal
Details later - need to go and find some lunch now!
Well done krider - that's a good time in the heat and great that you came in under your target time :T :T :T2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -

Considering that I was having trouble even walking after a 200 mile drive this morning then that has got to go down as a pretty decent tempo run, especially on VERY tired legs.
The first 5K took 20:40 with the return 5K into a strong headwind taking 21:06. It felt very strong throughout despite the tiredness in the legs so quite happy with progress.:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Yep, pulse a tad higher but it was still bang in line with last week's 10 mile tempo, despite that one being after a rest day....so looks promising enough!:D
You may wake up with no neck issues in the morning...play it by ear (or neck:p).Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Why do I have a nasty feeling that when i wake up on Nov 9th the only thing that will be on my mind is "Must train for Triathlon now"
However i notice its not very MSE... £800 for the cheapest bike :rotfl:... just might make me keep me feet on the ground with that plan mind.. ( Might )Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -

i'm going to give it a go though - see how the cardiff half marathon goes...eek!!0 -
Cool.. in that case welcome to the gang.. your 1 & 3 issue ar easyly overcome..
Try a size up from normal and start your search in the " motion control " section of shoes. which should help with your flat feet.
