  • Good going krider - that's speedy!! :T

Re. tired legs - I didn't realise how tired mine had got until I tapered this week. I was going upstairs earlier today and noticed that they didn't ache. Funny thing is I didn't realise before that they were aching - I'd just got used to it. :rotfl:

Mascott, that made me laugh out loud - hilarious! Sometimes it feels like that anyway for me!

I was on the tail of someone in this mornings parkrun, she always comes in a bit faster than me, she still left me behind at the end again - but how does she do it with a bum that big?! So unfair.

I reckon I knocked another minute off my time, but still not quite under the 30 minute mark on this route.

Getting really worried about this 10K in Inverness - 4th Oct. May have bitten off more than I can chew. Don't think I'm going to do it in under an hour - the shame.

Oi you 30:59 but even more importantly new pb by 60 seconds :j:j:j:j:j

You've improved nearly two minutes on a very tough course - not just on the pavement - so what if you cant break 60 this time for your 10k - you'll be ruddy close and stop being hard on yourself - progress takes time and you are getting faster at the rate of notts :D, I set my 5k pb in Jan and havent improved it since then so stop complaining :p

  • Ah Becks, I hang my head in shame - just for a moment, then pick myself up and feel proud!

You're right, it is a good improvement - I just wanna be the best! ha ha!

If you're on facebook, pm me, you can look on there at the pics of what I looked like a year or so ago - you won't believe it. Shame I can't work out how to ruddy post the pics on here!

Thanks for all your good words - they do help. The guy with a stop watch today, who shouted out 14:44, are you giving up? - I know he meant to spurr me on, but I could have hit him! all a laugh tho' once you've finished the race eh!

Wishing you fun and easy speedy boots tomorrow guys.
  • I didn't run today. After promising myself I wasn't going to have any wine last night I had 3 glasses out at a friends and then stoopidly another one when I got home. Have felt bloomin rubbish all day. Got into my running gear at 3pm and then fell asleep on the bed!
Won't have time to go tomorrow as we're heading over to the Lake District - OH is going the Great North Swim so I'm planning my last 12 mile run before the G|NR on Monday
Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.
