Thu - 3/9 6m - 01:16:17 (12.43/m )
Sat - 5/9 - didn't get out for a run as we were doing a carboot sale and I didn't think my legs would go far!
Week 10 -
Mon 7/9 - 4m - 50:22 (12.35/m)
Thu - 4m - well that didn't go to plan as I had to run with baby in the pram but he wouldn't settle so I only ran just over a mile in 16mins and then had to carry him back to the car
Sat 12/9 - 8m - 01:47:03 (13.525/m) :jwell I would be jumping for joy if I had any energy left! A fair bit slower then previous runs but I set out slow as I wanted to complete the distance. I don't feel that I could have done it much quicker as its already really hot out there.
Good luck for the races this weekend - I just hope we have ran at the end of the month for mine!Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -

A gentle 4 miles this morning just to stretch my legs out. I could feel that I'm a bit dehydrated, it was a busy day yesterday and I didn't drink enough, so I'll be making sure that I take plenty of fluid on board today.
Hannah - good luck, I hope the 8 miles goes well this morning.

Rich...just reading back...do you think training with a cheetah might improve our times. you could start off with an old one that had just finished eating and work up to a young fit starved one whilst dressed as a zebra...:eek:Sealed Pot Challenge 2013: No 1898

Mascott, that made me laugh out loud - hilarious! Sometimes it feels like that anyway for me!
I was on the tail of someone in this mornings parkrun, she always comes in a bit faster than me, she still left me behind at the end again - but how does she do it with a bum that big?! So unfair.
I reckon I knocked another minute off my time, but still not quite under the 30 minute mark on this route.
Getting really worried about this 10K in Inverness - 4th Oct. May have bitten off more than I can chew. Don't think I'm going to do it in under an hour - the shame.0 -

That was surprisingly swift for what was supposed to be a gentle jog! Whoops!
And boy it's hot. Hopefully the 9am start and a bit of sea breeze will ensure that we get more favourable conditions tomorrow.:D
1 Day To Marathon Day
Bj - Congratulations on a new fastest parkrun. Was that at Roundshaw?
Mascott - Good idea, we could be named the Cheetah Chasers!:D
Saz - Very well done on the 6.3 and thanks for the good wishes.
Hannah - Dont worry about pace, you got the approach to that spot on. If you're going for a new longest distance the idea is to back right off the pace and thats exactly what you did. Great progress.
Simply - Good luck tomorrow, cant wait to see what sort of time you from all that consistent training.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Well I don't think my OH will want me tapering again for a while - it gives me too much energy for shopping.
I've not been happy with my running shoes even though they are a larger size than my first ones, they've still been making the little toe on my right foot sore, so I visited my local running shop today. I am now the proud owner of a pair of New Balance 1063 - the widest running shoe they had :rotfl:I'll stick with my Nike's for the half tomorrow and then give the new shoes a blast on Tuesday.
Good luck with the marathon tomorrow Rich; I hope it goes to plan
Best of luck also to Becky and tq for their half maras and kms with the 10 miler - I hope your stomach is ok Becky.
Happy running to all those on their LSR's too:D

Rich, yes, it was the Roundshaw - I find it the hardest of all my 5k routes, not sure why.
Hannah - woo hoo, keep up the fantastic work. I'm right behind you - I'm going for 8 miles tomorrow, gonna be really really slow though, slower than you hun! But my target is to complete the distance - just as you said.
Rich, Becks, all things good for you guys tomorrow eh!0 -

Not too unexpected but nice to see our fellow Leeds parkrunner, Alastair Brownlee, be crowned World Triathlon Champion on the Gold Coast in Australia this morning.
Now its over to his younger brother, Jonathan, to see if he can land the junior world title tomorrow..........Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Hannah - great running again. Don't worry about the pace right now - that will come with time.
Also nice to see good running SazM and bj.
Simply, rich, becky, tq, kms - good luck for tomorrow guys.
I did 13.6 miles this morning in 2:20:13 (10:18/mile) which I am quite pleased with. I felt better for longer in the run which is showing improvement over my long runs. Tired legs in general this week - hoping they disappear over the next couple of weeks!
Total for the week = 31.6 miles0
