Excellent run tq - new distances are always

Good running from the usual suspects too.

I did 6.55 miles this evening in 1:01:29 (9:22/mile) which wasn't too shabby.

Total for the week = 18.55 miles.

Ooooohhhh :j :j :j Just been to the parkrun website after seeing becky's post about profiles, and the Reading parkrun now has a location and it is right next to the business park where I work :D Nicely accessible in the car and plenty of parking. First one on 12th September - will tie a run in with my half taper then if I'm cutting back long runs closer to 27th.

Night everyone (not expecting anyone to actually be awake at this hour though ;))

Got out there and did the hills. I managed 6 of them which surprised me greatly as I usually die at 4, maybe 5 . Was surprised at how dark it was getting when we'd finished just after 8pm and I ran through Tooting Bec Common thinking next week that won't be an option and I'll have to start riding my bike or jog the long (street lights) way home.

Rest day tomorrow and Park Run on Saturday. Who's bringing the hard stuff to celebrate a MSE 'club run' ? :D.

Good running everybody and Evab you can't kill anybody's kids. Hang in there as they'll be in school next week so you should have the pool to yourself :T:D

Need to put toeclips on my bike for tomorrow. Should be an interesting riding experience. Just hope I don't go "timmmbberrrrrr" and fall to the left due to forgetting I'm clipped in :cool:

Well done on the hill run Poor!

By hard stuff I assume you mean espresso?!? :p

Welcome back KYCU - hope you enjoyed yourself on hols :D Sorry about the tonsilitus - I have the viral form in my body and always have swollen tonsels as a result (even the dentist on Tues commented on it ) but so far I havent had an attack for a few years - it always seems to be air conditioning or flying that brings it on for me but keeping must be helping keep it at bay! Its pretty horrible though - hope you got the anitseptic spray - its the best thing ever!!! :D

Well it started begining of last week when it was a struggle to get out of bed and i thought It was overindulgence/laziness. Then it broke out on thursday popped painkillers + fishermans friends and waitied till i could get to the docs on tuesday. Funny in its self as I havent been to the docs with an ailment for about 6-8 years.

Doc - what can I do for you?
me - I have a bit of a sore throat.

Doc looks at his computer screen.

Doc - You dont appear to be the sort of person that comes in for 'a bit of a sore throat'

    me - 'sheepishly' nope.

    :rotfl:

I last had it 20 years ago. I put it down to the plane and to much sleep/change of routine

  • Done my longest run to date last night, 9 miles in 1:18 mins and I thought I was going slow!!

I felt very good as if I could increase at any moment but didnt as I wanted to go further than my 7.5 miler!!

Only for it getting dark I would have went on a wee bit more!!!
