I love walking around with my shins feeling like they have cracks in them.

See how i feel tomorrow, want to push out another long run, but know that i need to put in a fast 10k for wednesdays 2nd to last 10k road race..

GNR in 4 weeks, so some choices.....

Fast 10k for the 10k on wednesday or some nice long distance for the GNR prep...
  • Wow krider - a new longest distance and highest weekly total - great going! :T:T

    Sorry BoS - I can't offer any advice either - I'm still learning :D

Ouch to shins Alias; that sounds painful.

Well done krider on the 14 miles, and to Rich and Becky for hangover runs (are you mad!).

I managed to get out for some hill running today as my parents looked after the kids, I went up a road nearby which is a long steady gradient. The first 2 reps felt fine and I remember that only a few weeks ago it was hard going. I then decided to go further up the road where there was a short steep hill to do some extra reps and because I was annoying a dog in one of the gardens. I did 5 reps of this hill then went back down to the first long hill and did another 2 reps. I didn't take my GPS or MP3 with me so it was nice to just run.

    Mon 17/8 4.71 miles 0:48:36 (10.20/mile)
    Tue 18/8 7.01 miles 1:16:21 (10:54/mile)
    Wed 19/8 Rest
    Thu 20/8 13 miles 2:34:53 (11:54/mile)
    Fri 21/8 Rest
    Sat 22/8 Hills 4 x LSG & 5 x SSG - no mileage, no timings
Sun 23/8 depends on what time dh gets back.

Morning everyone. Sterling working going on here. I'm very impressed :T

I had planned on getting out there early this morning but I have my brother's kids over so didn't think it right to leave them to do an 18 miler . Given the sunshine out there now, I'm going to do it this evening instead, at around 5pm and hope I do better than last week, when I faded towards the end.

Friday's 5 miler was great though as I did it under the planned time so I was very happy.

Oh well, I've fed the kids so I think it's my turn. I'll report back late tonight.

Happy running anyone who's going out this morning :D
