Erm, no not at all.:p When you consider that Seb Coe still looks young and fit....and hes 10 years older, its quite encouraging!:D:D

We have all tried talking him out of it...but in vain. I fear it will end in tears.......

I do think the OP certainly has motivation but he is seriously at risk of major injury and this diet he's on sounds terrible, what will happen with the excess skin whilst he's losing weight at such speed and he'll find that he has no energy to run on such a low calorie intake!

A lot of people do not realise the effort required to get 1/2 marathon in around 1:30.

People do realise the amount of time and training needed to do a 1/2 marathon and anybody with a basic knowledge of running will know it take a huge effort!!

2:12 is just over 10min/mile which is v good for 1/2 marathon as opposed to 1:30 is 6.55min/mile!!!!

Maybe you could say to her if she fancy's running with you sometime?

    See what she says??:p

We have run together before, I might just ask her if she's doing the Anglesea 1/2 in September and casually ask if she's going for a time.
