But what I'm saying is 26:19 leads to 2:01 apparently and I am aiming for 2:05 - so should I aim a bit closer to 2 hours for this one and try to cut under at Fleetwood :undecided0 -
When I was running yesterday, I was thinking about somemone I work with who also runs she did the Chester 1/2 a couple of months ago and reckons she did it in 1:30. Now for someone who only runs 2 or 3 times a week and doesn't have a training plan this seems a bit suspect especially compared to a good and commited runner like you Becky.0

Went out last night and did 6.1m in 58:10. It was a nice comfortable run, apart from the bit where I ran around the docks and the wind was so strong it felt like I was running just to stay still. Typically on the return, I was shielded from the wind by the flashy dockside apartments, so I didn't get the full benefit of having the wind behind me.
I felt ok though and could have pushed it harder if I wanted to. Hopefully I'll manage to finish my long run tomorrow, without dipping out early like last week. I'm looking forward to it. The forecast here is for Sat am to be the best part of the weekend, so I will be out making the most of it.
Good luck for those racing this weekend. Becky - your plans seems very sensible and will give you a realistic goal to aim for.
Evab - well done on your 13-miler - tough but worth every step. The more long runs you do now, the better you'll feel on the day. Don't think OH will be doing Snowdonia marathon this year. I think I have convinced him that realistically he doesn't have time to get in shape for it, so he'll be doing a half somewhere instead.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

She may only run 2-3 times a week, but might have been doing that for 15 years!Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Very nice sunny run this morning. Another gentle 10K tomorrow should set things up nicely for Sunday.:D
Becky, I reckon you're in shape for a 1:57 without pushing too hard, a little quicker if you're feeling particularly good on the day.
Evab - just have a look at the Chester Half results, should be easy enough to find: http://www.sportsystems.net/Chester/downloads/ResultsChester09All.pdf
There were only 5 women under 1:30 though!
Nice running, Chickadee, sounds like you're enjoying yourself again.:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
