Wow lots of good running going on yesterday...
mascott i managed to complete half marathon distance in 2:09.15 - thats soooo great!!! :j:j:j Think what you can do in your half now too - exciting!
Simply - another good solid fartlek session - are your fast bits getting longer then or quicker to make the change in overall pace??
Poor - well done on the speedwork - it must have been tough if you needed your inhaler! Good luck for the hill session later in the week
chickadee - you most certainly can run  we only need to look at the wava boards to see that *Becky goes off muttering to herself about her distinct lack of pace*
Rich - already heard about your run (thanks for waking me up) but it looks even more impressive written down
Hope you get out soon K_bagpuss!
Did a nice easy 10k this morning in 58:41 - had to fight a bit at the start because I was in a lovely rhythm that I wanted to keep up but was rather stiff from yesterdays session...anyway its all good for another of the same tomorrow
Happy running!0 -

Did I hear that correctly? Its going to be the hottest day of the year today in big parts of the country!
UK - No, I think you'll find it was indeed 7-1!;) (Just have a look for the team that are the top scorers in the country with the best goal difference.:D:D).
Becky - 54:41...thats a bit swift for a recovery run isnt it? Are you sure it wasnt 1:54:41?:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Well, that was fun. It was probably a bit fast for a mid-week run but my legs felt strong and I really enjoyed pushing it a bit.
There's so much good running going on that this thread moves faaaast - well done Krider, poorbabe, chick, rich and becky (I hope I haven't missed anyone).
Becky - re. fartlek sessions; I'm not sure if it's faster for longer or quicker overall. I'll have look through my splits tonight and see what they tell me.

Nice running Simply
Sorry Rich was a typo dont get too excited it was 58:54...0 -
Got out last night and although it was my first run since my 10k felt very strong!! Stronger than anytime before, is this a good thing??
The only 2 things that annoyed me was my hamstrings felt very tight in parts of the run and I got a stich in the same place as I got one in the 10k, should this be a problem??
Anyway I tried to slow it down over 4.6 miles and though I was until I stopped my watch at the finish and it showed 41:15 (8:58 min/mile) I think thats the quickest I run yet!!
Now to the 6.6 miler tomorrow morning??0 -
By the way Rich yes I am really enjoying running at the moment!!
I feel a structured approach to it is the way to go to build up the distance but really looking to get the times down now but I know this will come in time!!0 -
Dont worry about stitch to much i used to get them all the time when i started aint had one for months now.. just make sure your not eating to soon before a run. Otherwsie its just a case of letting the body get used to running and at some point the stich's will ( Should ) stopCabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0
