Don't get too excited - They are both for zone G. My OH has a Zone B place but he said he's going to stay with me although I'm not sure thats a good idea as he'll be so frustrated with me. He did it last year in 1hr40. At my current pace I'll be lucky to do it under 3 hours

I second what UKsaid. Do the best you can on the day and ENJOY it. I did the GNR every year for a number of years and only stopped because of the high number of entrants. The crowds are brilliant and the view of the sea at a certain point made the pain/rain/cold worthwhile (and the portion of chips once I'd changed into warm clothes

Inapickle - Good for you. You'll progress from there and look back amazed at your achievements and how far you've come. It's a lovely feeling, believe me :T
Thanks, poorbabe. I've got to admit, though, looking at the route I walked yesterday, I'd be amazed if I could ever run half of that, never ind any further distance! I'll just have to wait and see...

Well done simply
..
only downside of it is that in about 1 - 2 hours this is the only thing that will be on your mind..
 or that might just be me.....
and your 20 mile pace was faster than your 18...:TCabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -
Hellloooooo its Becky!!
Wow well done Simply

Thats fantastic - I'm soooo chuffed for you!!!
On the good side I made it up the monster hill today twice, but I wasnt feeling great all the way (too many bubbles last night
) and it was 10.5 miles in 1:59 and then a 2.5 mile walk home
Anyway over 40 miles again this week so thats good - I think I'm trying to push the speedwork and milage too much - one is fine but both can be tough so am going to lose some mileage next week for my 1/2 on the weekend - I am hoping for 2:02 I think
