Hi Chick
Thanks for the nice comments by the way!
On the day you cross the line - they give you a little disk and you take that to someone with the comp and they ask for your name and enter your name against the number on the disk - it'll be obvious where to go as there is usually a queue...
HP is a nice friendly event and still pretty small so it would be a nice one to start with I guess
They are starting another manchester one soon though:
Woodbank parkrun, Stockport
Is that any closer??0 -
Good luck with your run SW
Poorbabe is doing the Eden Project mara - are they on the same day??0 -

That sounds like a simple, logical system. I checked the results of the Heaton Parkrun and one of the ladies from my Thursday running group has run three times. I might give her a call and either cadge or offer a lift.
Stockport would probably be more difficult to get to, as it is the other side of Manchester from me.
I'll go with the long run group this Saturday again, as I'm still feeling the need to build my fitness back up and shake off the laziness of the last few weeks but I think I'll give it a go.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Well let us know when and we'll see if we can pop down too
I doubt I'll be racing as I have so few race free weekends at the moment, but I can always volunteer!0 -

That would be great! I have met Rich once before, but it would be lovely to meet you too. I could bring OH and we could have a coffee.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Sounds good to me
I like HP because I overtake on the downhill (the hill is a bit ugly going up though)

Oh that's good to know - if it's not too far from the station, Stockport is about 40 mins on the train for me.. although would be an early start on a Saturday!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Bramhall park and flat??? You will see Becky you will see
Lets just say it has a bump or two.
Rather twisty too and narrow paths if you are in the main pack.Debt free Nerd number 1122 LBM Jan 2009 Debt @ LBM £40,086.88 (14/01/09)
