Wow, this thread has moved on a pace. Like poorbabe it's too much for me to remember so I'll say hello to the new peeps and 'returners' and well done to everyone that has got out running.
Today was my first 5 mile fartlek run, my training plan seems to be stepping up a notch this week, and it certainly ironed out any kinks from Sunday's exertions. Not a bad run though once I got moving.
Good luck with your 10k tomorrow EC2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Well done Simply on another good run
Dont forget if it gets too much just ease off a session or skip one - but I have to say I dont think you've missed one yet so you'll be fine moving forward0 -
Thanks Becky; my legs were a bit stiff yesterday/this morning, only to be expected after running for over 3 hours I suppose, but I think the run helped as they've been fine today.
I've been really lucky because apart from missing a couple of runs because of a virus I've managed to keep on track most of the time - fingers crossed it stays that way. Don't worry though if I start feeling too tired I'll take a rest day

Morning slackers...
Nice speed session lastnight built into a 11m run....
just signed up for Parkrun.... now just have to wait for a free Saturday morning.
from my own speed work i should be around the 20m 10s pace for the 5k... but i know you all hate speculation so will have to let my legs to the talking on the day... if the day ever comes.... we need Sunday park runs.

Morning all!
Did a nice 10 miler in 1:34:15 this morning - it was much cooler today and although I was a bit stiff from 3 speed sessions in 4 days it had worked out by the end so I was able to pick up the pace for the last 3 miles
Well done on your runs Uk and Rich0 -
Welcome to the parkrun contingent, UK (at last )!!!!
So which one are you thinking of doing to get rid of your parkrun virginity?Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

So an early morning steady 10 miler following 3 speed sessions in 4 days and..........you go faster than your last 10 mile race time!
That shows that 1:30 should be no problem now and that PB will be next in the firing line.:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
