Fantastic running, UK - beyond your wildest hopes there. Wow!!:D:D
You were looking for 7:40/mile and ran 7:20/mile!!!!!! That is a HUGE difference.
So how did it come about? Did you ramp up the speed the more the race progressed, as I imagine you did, or some other pattern?
Btw I wont post it yet until you get an accurate time, but 1:36:07 would give you a WAVA of 62.06%!!!!!!!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Well done UK...that is an impressive WAVA....wow...(wonder how scorgybaby is getting on - she always seems to run on the hotest of days..lol)
I have just had a totally pants run .....not at all unexpected after this cold all week. I ended up taking a shortcut and walking the last 3k of 8k.....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

UK - well done, that sounds like a fantastic run! Lets hope Garmin is on track.
Scorgeous - Don't keep us in suspense, how did you get on in your 10k?
I went out this morning for a run, it was absolutely lovely. Quite warm, but a nice breeze stopped it from being too hot. 10 miles in 1:33 so I am very pleased with that. I am more pleased with the fact that the route today includes two hills, one very steep and about 400m long and another very very steep and about 100m and today I ran up both of them and didn't stop on either. :j:j Wow! Me a hill runner, I hate hills. (Not today though)
Also, I thought I would test out whether I really do need breakfast before I run and I didn't have any before I went. Surprisingly I was absolutely fine.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Well done Uk; am looking forward to your race report :T
Wow, chick that was some running and hills too - great stuff:D
It was another eventful run for me this morning involving:-
a) My OH
b) His new bike
c) My decision to split my water between two bottles (so he could carry one for me)
d) A mis-communication regarding the route.
All of which resulted in me running the last four miles, in the heat, with no water - I've still not worked out how he managed to lose me :rotfl::rotfl:
So ........ 12 miles 02:05:19 (10:26/mile)
And another first for me this week (drum roll please) - I ran 30 miles this week :j2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Woot to the 30 mile week simply  :j _party_
Sounds like UK's done OK despite the heat. Hopefully scorgeous will have done well too.
Sounds like a good run for you chick - I can do runs on no breakfast too. Just not on no lunch
Many thanks for updating my time/WAVA rich.
Reporting in my run of 10.25 miles in 01:49:33 (avg. pace 10:41). Didn't feel like a brilliant run during it as I'd have liked closer to 10:30 pace, but my HR was fine - just my legs didn't want to play. Perhaps spending much of yesterday on my feet had more of an affect than I thought? Or my midweek race had more of a longer term impact then I realised? I suppose considering the heat as well it was an OK time - went out in the middle of day due to things that needing doing this morning and later today and being too tired to get up at silly o'clock.
Total for this week = 27.85 miles.0 -

This scenario sounds scarily like the thing that would happen if I did manage to convince my OH to carry water. Navigation and timing not being his strong points :rotfl: Hope you managed to find each other (at home?) in the end without too much hassle!0 -
Thanks GuysRichOneday wrote: »

:rotfl:.. you are a comic sometimes rich....
The real version
Went out far to hard, first 4m all under 7min pace...finaly got into a rythem not far off 7.5min pace.... then it was just a case of digging into the end which i just about did. last .75 - .25 of a mile started to slip away from 7.5min pace but then got secound wind as the finish line appeared...
Enjoyed the race even though it was lap job but after running on London streets non stop for past 8 weeks was just nice to have the sea around..
on the way out on the laps its was fine as you had breeze in your face, but my word when you turned back for the home leg of the course and running with the wind it got realy hot..
Goody bag
 ---- Water & Medel :rotfl:...but PBCabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -
Well done UK. I think pacing is a mystery to all but the most experienced of us. I know I always get carried away at the start too, and run far too fast. It is a real discipline to hold back when all those around you are charging away.
Simply - a 30 mile week. Well done you :T
Sammy - I'm sure once you have fully got over your cold you'll be back to full strength. It can take longer than you expect to shake a virus properly so don't beat yourself up if it doen't disappear overnight.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90
