Don't expect too much to happen, idio! The effect should be nothing; nothing is good. It's what doesn't happen (impact injuries etc.) that matters!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
New parkruns:
Two new parkruns to be aware of, both starting 18th July.
Roundshaw Downs, Croydon - Flattish 2 lap course
Black Park, Iver Heath, Slough - Flat, compacted earth and gravel.
I know the Slough one pretty well (used to live there:rolleyes:) - should be fast.
Idio - Beer Tins is quite right. You will notice nothing, no extra bounce or 'go faster' effect. You will just wonder to yourself the next time you buy shoes whether they are worth the money. Then ask yourself whether you've been injured while using them - thats the only thing that matters.
Krider - Sounds llike you had a great time last night. Clearly that 60 minute barrier will fall soon, so good work. And clearly your stamina is coming along exceptionally well - you cant write posts like that without great stamina.;)Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Ooh, I might do this one, it's by far my closest one. Don't know about 18th July though, it'll be the day after my work leaving drinks!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

There's also a pilot run on Monday 13th at 17:00 which you can join, although I suspect that might not fit in with work too well!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I'm leaving anyway, so that doesn't matter :rotfl: Only joking! No I don't think I'd make it there for 17:00 somehow!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

Ah, I'll find it interesting to see whether it stops my feet from hurting - they never used to when i used sorbawotsits before, so if I go back to "not hurting", I'll know they're doing good

Can see myself going to Battersea park one evening to have a crack at the clear course! .
Is there a running course in Battersea Park? That would be good for me, I find the crossing busy roads near home really hard. Is there any way of finding good routes in parks etc? Must be a website somewhere?!0 -

Hi. Well no, they mark out a course on the paths for the race, but you can always follow the race course yourself if you know the route. The race route is mapped out here: http://www.jpmorganchasecc.com/events.php?page=maps&city_id=10Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
Roundshaw is only 2.5 miles from my home, where would I find the details of that? This thread is terribly addictive - but incredibly inspiring!0

Doesn't start till the 18th. Where abouts do you live, then? I'm in Crystal Palace, so not too far myself.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0
