I bought a car from JH Cars in February and am still waiting for the full service history as advertised. also advertised as full years MOT and only had a few months.Had no oil in when first bought and a few weeks later had to have handbrake done and weel bearing. They told me lie after lie mainly Lance and now 8 months later went to get my car taxed and suprise suprise its not in my name! so am unable to tax my own car. I dont even know how it is possible for them to rip so many people off and still carry on trading!!:mad:

Great news people for all of you who have problems with a38 cars a friend of mine did too well after several more company names and moving around they have been FOUND! Do you remember any of these? spectrum motors ,fc21,jh cars,autobahn of derby a38 and others I cant remember,WELL THEY CALL THEMSELVES JUNCTION 26 CARS NEXT TO IKEA NOTTINGHAM YES THE SAME SALES STAFF AND EVEN HAVE A YOUNG LADY TO ANSWER PHONE NOW JUST IN CASE ANY OF THE PEOPLE THEY HAVE TOOK FOR A RIDE CLICK ON WHO THEY ARE WHEN ANSWERING THE PHONE!! I HOPE SOMEONE CAN PUT THIS INFO TO GOOD USE DONT GIVE UP.THEY OPEN UP HAS A LTD COMPANY TRADE ABIT THEN SHUT DOWN AND MOVE AND YES YOU GUESSD OPEN IN ANOTHER NAME NOT AGAINST THE LAW BUT RIPPING PEOPLE OFF IS!!!

Just seen this thread and am amazed due to the fact i nearly purchased a porsche 911 from this company who now trade as junction 26 cars located near to ikea at eastwood derby/notts border,lance is still bungling along giving people bull !!!!,it is a very shady run operation ,after agreeing a deal for the porsche i asked to see the service history and got a very unconvincing story as to why they never had it so i walked ,it seems i made a good choice!!!:T

BIGGEST COW BOYS IN THE WEST!!! A38 cars, Autobahn Derby (and all the other names they have been known as), now known as Junction 26 Prestige cars. Located in borderlines of nottinghamshire/derbysbire, oposite Ikea Giltbrook.

All I can say is they have done every scam in the book and used every excuse, from selling stolen cars to clocked cars you name it.

And now my experience with them whilst known as autobahn ascot drive. Once upon a time when Range Rover Sports where around the £35-40k region went to see one in Autobahn and few others in other well known companies. When i went in Autobahn it just didnt feel right, sales men were dressed in tracksuit bottoms and tops, one had a suit which was very rugged to say the least. They didnt look like the 'typical' car sales men at all, but instead looked like gentlemen that would be selling white powder like substances.

I went there ready to leave a deposit if everything was right but just didnt feel like they were trustworthy people. They failed to show me the log book and service history, cannot remember what excuse they used at the time. So i thought il come back home and do some research, found a lot of bad reviews.

Meanwhile I had a call from one of the other comapnies (call it company X) to see what i thought about their car. I told them i found one at a better price in Autobahn. The salesman was fine at the time, but couple hours later he was that worried, the name autobahn rung a bell. He strongly recommended that even if i dont buy a car from X not to buy from autobahn, that they were no good.

I later discovered this was the same garage named A38 cars where one of my aquintances had major issues with. I did end up buying a range rover which lasted me well from neither autobahn or company X. Couple years down the road my Range Rover is gone and now in the market for a new car. Found a company called junction 26 prestige go down there to view the car.

OMG the same old tracksuit wearing cowbows.
