I have emailed a handful of the companies that advertise A338 Direct cars, had one reply today:
Hi Vikki
Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that we no longer advertise their cars.
Best Regards

I am not quite sure what you are saying about the RAC check. Did you get it done before you bought the car or after. If the report showed up all the problems that you say, before you purchased, why would you then still go ahead with the purchase. If the RAC check was done after you bought the car then that was a peculiar thing to do.
It seems a pretty dodgy company to be doing business with. I trust that others will not disadvantage themselves by buying cars from this crowd.
Did the RAC check before (but they said i had to pay a deposit or they wouldnt hold the car for me). Once the check brought up all the mistakes, they apologised and said they would fix it all in the price - assured me they were con artists and all - and hell i believed them!0 -

Hi all,
I'm having issues with them too.
Going down the formal legal route though, from the outset.
Letter before action sent giving them 7 days to repair, replace or refund a car that brokedown after 1 hour with a serious engine fault.
Ringing people up and getting promises, gets you nowhere. If you follow a process under the sale of goods act (you may end up in the courts) but it is your legal right to persue.
I would post the link to my current blog/case, but I don't want to openly advertise the full details etc, until it is resolved.
Happy to help anyone though, pm me if needs be.
