Hi
My speeds were up and down during the first 15days, when I went MAX, it really is a bedding in period, it takes time for the line to stablise and sort it self out.
If you go to http://192.168.1.1 you should be able to get your router stats from here.0 -

I always thought that it was unwise to keep resyncing during the trial period, because it believes that the line is unstable and it will resynch at a lower rate.
I wouldn't do this.

Thanks wonderfullife. I will wait and see if it gets better over the next 10 days or so.
After ridding myself eventually from E7even, I started to panic that i had made a mistake in choosing MAF. However it's a new day and things look a lot brighter this morning :-)0 -
Hi Quickdraw,
Could you please PM me your username? I'd like to investigate your account and see what the state of play is.
Kind regards,

Hi Scally,
Thanks for choosing Madasafish!
The testing period is for the first 10 days of your connection. We recommend that you leave your router on during this time (you don't need to have the computer on, just the router).
During the first 10 days we're testing your line to see what the fastest stabile speed possible for your line is. During this time you may get speeds that are slower than expected and in some cases, disconnections. If on day 11 you're still getting speeds slower than you had expected, please get in touch with us and we'll do our best to get you better results.
Kind regards,

Was thinking about signing up with madasafish, but the monthly alowance is poor.0
-
Hi Simon83,
The monthly alllowance is actually pretty good value for money.
Orange 2GB - First year cost £215.88
Zen 2GB - First year cost £215.88 (+£47 activation if you aren't migrating)
BT 2GB - First year cost £200.88
Virgin 3GB - First year cost £179.88
Plusnet 2GB - First year cost £179.88
Madasafish 5GB - First year cost £179.88
We have the highest usage and we're one of the least expensive!
Most ISPs who advertise as unlimited aren't really and I'd like to invite you to read The Free Fairy Story.

Bt doesn't actually charge a monthly allowance, well they hadn't while ive been with them for the last two years and i downloaded over 200gig a month easy.
tiscali offer unlimited allowance as do aol0 -
Hi Simon,
AOL, I believe are the only true unlimited provider left - however you'll notice that you'll need to pay more monthly if you want the faster speeds.
Tiscali advertise themselves as an unlimited service, however they've got a "Fair Usage Policy" which means that it's unlimited as long as they don't think you're using too much! If you read the Free Fairy Story Article that I attached you'll see that the Toucan Unlimited product seems to be about 4GB a month - Toucan is owned by Tiscali and I imagine that the 'unlimited' usage is about the same. I can't confirm that though!
BT currently only market packages that have usage allowances. If you are using 200GB a month and BT is letting you do this without complaining, then I would stick with them!
Kind regards,

tiscali's fair usuage policy only applies around the times between 6pm and and i think 12am
i just feel that making people pay for an allowance is unfair.
It's easy to run over a 2gig allowance, using gaming, webcam chat rooms, video streaming, and all these services are broadly used. seems unfair to have to pay for these service via the allowance rates.0
