Hi samara - I hope you can help because I am at the end of my tether with the slow speeds I am experiencing. I pay for 8mb package - and according to your people my line can handle 7mb. Since I joined in about March I have only been getting a max on a very good day of 1.95. I have telephoned your technical helpline on numerous occasions - and despite the staff neing friendly and helpful - my speed is just getting slower and slower.
The first time - I was told to check the router/extention/plugs/anti virus etc - idid and no improvement.
The second time - I was told he would do something your end - give it three days - leave switched on - it will def improve - it didn't.
Today - I was told they would re-sync line - keep doing speed checks as often as possible and I would see an immediate improvement. I haven't it's getting worse and worse - if I leave it 3 days - I'm afraid it will dwindle to nothing.
Here is a list of the recent speed tests I have done over today etc. I really need to have reliable, fast internet access and I've not been getting it.

Hi there,
My 12 month contract with Madasafish is about to end soon. While I'm happy with Madasafish - though never get anywhere near 8MB as they said, 3.2MB maximum for me - I really don't like being charged for surpassing the 5GB limit. Do you guys know if Madasafish would give me some incentives like more download capacity or what? 'Cause if not, I'll definitely move to another provider.
Speaking of which, I'm thinking of Talk Talk 3 or AOL or Sky, do any of you here know which one is the best among them?
Many thanks indeed!0 -
Hi Oldagetraveller, buts it's fallen to 5.0, as posted, see above, has been and still is like that for, I think, four days now with the corresponding drop in download speed.
A sync of 5000 is higher than your current BRAs profile. We just need for that sync of 5000 to consistently be maintained for about 4 days. If it has been at 5000 for a few days now already I would expect to see an improvement in your BRAs at any time.
Could you please make sure that you're connecting from the master socket and leaving your router on as much as possible?
Thank you
Kind regards,

Hi Ck2,
If you would like to move to the 20GB package (you're currently on the 5GB package), as you've really just started with us, I can match the prices that are published on our website for new customers.
Kind regards,

Hi Misty,
Could you please PM me your Madasafish username? I would like to have a look at all of your line stats.
If you could, could you please run me a speed test at
http://speedtester.bt.com and copy and paste all the results into the PM for me?
The username and password you'll need for the speedtester site are the connection details you use to connect to the service.
Thank you
Kind regards,
Samara

Samara,
Just ran a speed test from the BT link you mentioned, this is the result:
"The test has successfully completed"
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:-provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 6000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 7648 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 5548 kbps0 -
Hi GaryS,
I just passed your stats that you posted over to tech and here is what they've said:Short answer: This stats look about right.
Long answer:
The IP Profile (BRAS) is set to 6000 which says to me either he had a minor drop in sync in the last 3 days or that he is syncing higher than normal at the moment as the 6000 profile is associated with a sync rate between 6816 and 7391. The current sync rate is 7648 which will give a IP profile (BRAS) of 6500. He speeds are acceptable for rates he's getting.
I didn't send over your username when I sent over the BT speedtester results; and looking at your account it was a drop in sync down to 6000 (from 6500).
Kind regards,
