Hi Harryhound,
You can still use debit cardsThere is no handling fee for debit cards or direct debits.
We introduced a credit card handling fee about 6 or so months ago, this won't effect customers who signed up prior to this point unless they make any changes to their payment method or upgrade/downgrade their account with us.
Mrs. Hound should be able to access her Totalise email from the Madasafish homepage webmail form. She'll need to enter her username as her full totalise email address.
In order to combat PDF Spam we've had to revert to using our virus filter. In turn whenever someone is trying to send you PDF spam you're receiving the 'Intercepted virus notification' email, if you've got this option enabled in webmail. It's not really a virus that someone is trying to send you; it's just pesky spam.
You can disable the option to be notified of the virus if you go into Webmail (https://www.madasafish.com) and go into settings > spam filter > Virus notification off
We're currently working on a work around that will catch the PDF spams which will not trigger that virus automated email. I apologise for the inconvenience.
Kind regards,

Hi Matrix-Keeper,
It is possible for equipment and wiring to go faulty over time, this wouldn't be unheard of.
I trust that tech have already run you through testing all of your microfilters?
Also are you connecting from the master socket with 1 microfilter fitted to every phone socket? And if you are using any long telephone extensions in conjunction with the router would you be able to eliminate these?
If you've already gone through all the basics and the tech team are saying that it's possibly the router I would see if you could borrow a mate's router for 24 hours just to see if that will improve things.
Likewise if you've never taken hardware with us for the 12 month contract that you're in I can get some new hardware out to you.
If you would like for me to review your account could you please PM me your username?
Thank you
Kind regards,

Hi Samara,
Like may others before me, I am being tempted away from Madasafish by offers of a much cheaper internet experience.
I have email care@madasafish.com and sales@madasafish.com and had no reply at all, which is odd, so I have posted here in the hope that you at least are listening!
I have been a customer for many years, and have been on the freenetname MAX broadband package since at least February 2006.
I have always found the service and quality of the freenetname product 1st class, however, if I was to switch to the talktalk Talk2 international call plan, I would be able to save over between £12 and £15 per month compared with Freenetname products.
Specifically, the Talk2 International package gives me:
Line Rental for £10.50 pm
Unlimited Evening & w/e calls to local and national landline numbers for £5.89 pm
AND, upto 8Mb download with a 40GB monthly allowance for free.
The Freenetname MAX Plus offer gives me speeds upto 8Gb, and a monthly download limit of 20Gb for £25.99 pm,
while the Talk Free offer gives much the same benfits as the Talk2 package for £9.99 pm
I am reluctant to leave Freenetname, but unless you are able to offer me a similar deal, I don't think I will have any choice.
Best regards,
Richard0 -

Hi,
I signed up to madasafish for talk and broadband on Tuesday. I am currently with Talktalk. I don't know who's fault it is but I have had my landline disconnected from talktalk since yesterday morning. I have emailed madasafish and asked them what was happening, but am still waiting for a reply. I emailed talktalk asking why they have disconnected my line seeing as the new provider hasn't taken over yet and payment for line rental for this month has been paid. I got a response of your landline has been disconnected, if you want landline then please contact BT. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks0 -

Hi -
I have been without a madasafish connection since Wednesday. After talking to the support, I was told it was not a problem with the ISP and that I should get the phone line checked. Two days later I am told the line is Ok and if it is a adsl problem talk to the ISP provider. madasafish are now looking into it but no response to date.
Who do I go to if the phone line goes down - no one seems to take ownership? - the delay in sorting it out is beyond a joke0 -
Hi Samara.
I am coming up to a year since I joined Madasafish so am looking at my broadband options.
The service has been fine, but I have been thinking about migrating for cost reasons. I am on the lowest package, and the full price of £17.99 doesn't look all that competitive, especially with the 5gb cap. I have started to increase my net usage, and can see myself going a few gig over the 5gb max on a regular basis. There are now some quite reliable ISPs like 'Be' offering unlimitted for £14 (£16 if you average in the sign up cost over 12 months). Is there anything you can do for me? I would be happy to stay if a competitive deal is available as the service has been faultless.
Also, I was looking back at the original emails from when I signed up, and am a little confused. I signed up on the 26/9/2006. That is when the first payment came out and the 26th of each month has remained the day when the monthly fee is taken. My broadband didn't migrate to Madasafish until 3/10/2006. Does that mean I lost out on about 9 days that I shouldn't have paid for? Not a big deal, but I thought I'd ask. I notice my broadband usage allowance starts on the 1st of each month as well, which doesn't coincide with either date.
Linked to this is the question of when I could safely ask for my MAC and give you 28 days notice if I do reluctantly decide to leave. There have been a few contradictory things said on this from different posters and things aren't completely clear. If I make the call on the 26th of this month, the anniversary of signing up is that 12 months, or will it be the 3rd of October, a year after the migration. Presumably I will have to pay for a 13th month either way now anyway.
I will PM you my username separately if that is OK.
Thanks in advance.0
