Can anyone tell me which Sky package UKTV Home channel is in? I've looked all over their website and its not listed but it is listed on UKTV website as Sky chanel 246?
This offer would make it worth subscribing just for that chanel as this would be really useful for my work, otherwise it isn't worth the money
Thank you0 -

It has changed recently from UKTV Style to Home that is why you couldn't find it. It is included in the style and culture pack.0 -
So there is no way of doing this unless you already have a BT line? I don't have one... hence the reason I want Sky Talk!! Is there any way of still getting this?0
-
There's also no way of signing up if you are a Virgin Media customer (no BT line) which is a shame as you would think that Sky would do everything they could to poach VM customers!0

Yeah I'm in the exact same situation mate... just about to finish my 12 month BB only contract with VM and thought I might as well get three (four if you count HD) for just a little bit more than VM charge for BB on its own.
The deal is available through Sky's website, minus cashback, but with Tesco vouchers and a month's free HD subscription which could go some way to bridging the gap, providing they aren't already in the cashback offer.0 -
Just tried to sign up for the Sky+ deal using the link above.
The article says you can choose to have your own phone provider, and as i am with Tiscali and happy with them this is the best option for me.
However the site has told me I need to have a BT activated phone line and can't de-select Sky Talk from the package.
Boooo.
I don't think you necessarily need to have a BT phoneline as we have Sky+ and our home phone is with Virgin.
I think it's mainly to do with if you want to order programmes on Box Office, ie you can't just order them through the red button (I think!). This hasn't caused us any problems though as my boyfriend likes to watch the boxing on Sky Sports Box Office so just orders by telephone. It usually only takes about 2 minutes and is all sorted.0 -
PS - We are looking to upgrade our Sky+ package to Sky+ HD (we currently have the full package of films and sport) but as we are existing customers (for about a year now), does anybody know of any deals regarding this?0

Info on sky deals. You must leave sky for 12 months before you can become a new customer. I have been a sky customer for 16 years and I feel that we are being discriminated against with new deals in favour of new customers. In other words we are subsidising the cost for new customers.
Example : Current offer for Sky+HD box (£49) + free installation + £9.75 p/m for HD channel only applies to new customers. Existing customers have 2 options, pay a £30 installation fee, or to get free installation you have to take multiroom package @ £9.75 per month (= £117 annual payment)+£9.75p/m for HD Channel. In view of this I have downgraded to the basic variety pack, and will resort to the good old BBC and ITV channels.0 -
During the application process on the Simplifydigital website it repeatedly says that "once activated, you will continue to pay BT for your line rental" - so how does that work if the line rental is free for the first 12 months with this deal ???
Secondly I could not find in the cheaper option where you select the free 2MB broadband - please enlighten me. Thanks.0 -
