I am thinking about starting a MFW diary - I want to get my bigger and longer mortgage paid off as soon as I can.

I also have to admit that I find the forums so theraputic - I don't feel so alone and overburdened with responsibility when I come here.

    Thank you all

And why not? Get over there and start a thread! :D

And we like being here to help, so carry on carrying on and post a link to your new thread! :D:D

Must be a relief to be able to start a new chapter. Things are only going to get better for you and your girls.

If you start a MFW diray can you put a link on this thread, I'll migrate over there and follow you. We completed on our first house last week, I'm planning to start our overpayments in January, give ourselves a bit of time to make it habitable and pay for the wedding before we start.

And Juliffe - it is theraputic for me to come on here and offer support, and maybe make a smidgeon of difference to someone's day. So thanks.(And I also learn alot in the process of following other's dilemma's and journey's).
Look forward to following you on the next stage of your life.

Julliff - I suppose Congratulations is the wrong word to use in what you rightly say are rather sad circumstances, but congratulations are nevertheless still due to you for the strength and fortitude you've shown over this whole period. It has been a difficulty journey but the opportunities now ahead of you will enable you focus on your future unhindered by many of the burdersome problems you've suffered in the past.

I would hazard a guess that if we could "fast forward" two or three years we will see you and you Ex in very different circumstances. You will be much further along the track to financial freedom and personal fulfilment, and he will have fallen into debt, heavy drinking and a lack of any self motivation to have learnt a lesson and put his life back into order. I hope I'm wrong, but at least you will no longer be dragged down back his lack of responsibility. I just hope he doesn't let your girls down in the way he has let you down. Best wishes for your future happiness.

    Hi J

    Good to hear from you.

Here starts the rest of your happy content life. I think having a goal such as MFW is good and will help you stay focussed. Even little OP's can go a long way. They are a friendly bunch too.

    Hugs to you all.
