Thanks G-J, i am sure i bring it on a lot myself..what with my low expectations and all.:o:rotfl:

I was reading up on co dependency and what not and think i have a lot of those traits would explain a lot. I have tried hard over this past year not to give in on things and make him responsible for his own actions, and for that i feel better about- even though it hurt at the time. Sometimes we have to realise what it is we want in life. So that is going to be a focus in the New Year, goals and achieivability, along with life/work balance.

Plus a multitude of uses for Turnips when your spouse won't behave...:D:j:rotfl:

hey, bob, the thing is we pretty much all start out with great expectations/hopes/dreams/whatever, but the reality of life kicks in and you have to adjust (having kids is a great event for doing this). So not LOW expectations bob, just modified, responsible ones...and maybe mr.bob needs to take a leaf out of the book of reality and do the same. Unfortunately yes, it does hurt sometimes, trying to get through to those who don't quite get it, but you have friends on here to vent off at as & when needs must

I'll do you a deal....let's make 2010 a good year no matter what, with mutual support at least on MSE if nowhere else

...and keep a healthy supply of semi-rotten turnips just below your throwing hand behind the sofa out of sight
