You'd get loads of liners out of a cheap textile shower curtain, which would be easier to sew than plastic.

Do you know, I was thinking that when I took my shower this morning. I think the curtain was a Mr T value line one/ Plain white that I got when I moved in as there wasnt one here!. :j
I shall have to get someone to take me to Mr T.

Talking of Mr T, I realised that I hadnt changed my address etc. so I just got a nice man on the phone, who has gone through my last 3 years of coupons, and has told me I have £68.50 worth!!! In deals that will be £272.!!
The down side of it is I have missed the August one, so it will be in November when I get them. But thats a brilliant something to look foreward too!!:T:T:T

Its very windy here, and I have been battling against the wasps to salvedge some of the apples before they are all useless.
Problem is now there are so many apples in the kitchen that I dont know what to do with them. Some are from the ground, so will use in some of the first lots of making Applestew that I can freeze. But does anyone know how to keep some for eating without them going off.
I am currently munching through one, for my afternoon snack. So they are not crab apples. The larger ones are quite big. Thought they might have been cookers, but although they are not sweet, they are perfectly eddible.

Will take some with me to BF's for the weekend, but there are just a couple of carrier bag full from just now! Not to mention those that will be ready but I cannot reach. !!

  • Good news about the vouchers, you might be able to sort xmas out with them?
  • you can wrap apples in tissue paper and store in a cool dark dry place you dont have to use the paper but you mustn't let the apples touch in case one goes bad(it would spoil the others)

I have just ordered an apple peeler from fleabay to help with the mammoth peeling job. Shoukd be well worth the tenner i paid if it does what it says it will and i get lots more foraged apples.

Cooking a nice 3 course meal for hubby as we haven't had much us time since we got back from holidays and DS came home on leave. nice romantic dinner after ds1 is in bed and ds goes clubbing..well thats the plan anyway

doing a chilli squid starter followed by a spinach and mushroom lasagne and a pear and choc pudding ..............economy gastronomy eat yer heart out
